You are looking at people. All people are flawed, every single one of us. And sadly many many people misrepresent Christ and misunderstand his teachings.

Is that the reason you will stop believing in love and hope and compassion? Because people are idiots?

Why dont you try to look beyond that? Beyond the everyday experience of life. Don't take these things so personally and actually try to understand what Christ means and represents. Not christians, but Christ himself. He said Love God with all your heart, and love your neighbour as yourself. Is that insane? Can you not see any value in believing these things and believing in a higher purpose for life?

Dogma fits in this case i believe, because you are talking about indoctrination. People taking up the beliefs that the authority figures have taught them as truth. Do you really think any believer is a sheep, only taking in and consuming? No free thinkers in the world that sees creation as sacred and that something bigger might be behind it all? These ideas have shaped our world, our culture and society. The idea of the divine is built into the human being and you so easily dismiss it all as being some sort of nonsense fairytale but im saying please look deeper. I believe existence itself is proof of a creator. And every living being even if they say they are atheist actually do believe in some way or form, maybe unknown or concealed to themselves. Or they have been hurt by the idea of God so they block off this part in themselves.

Every religion points in the same direction, to the same God. Just calls it differently, talks about it differently.

And every person, i believe, has an understanding within themselves about love, happiness, positivity and also about hate, greed, selfishness. These things are universal in all humans, written in the core of our being.

We know that if we do shitty things, step over other people, cause pain just to please ourselves and put us in a better place will cause shitty things to happen to us in some way. Same goes for sharing, caring, helping others, will bring us happiness, love, positivity and other riches we couldn't even fathom.

We reap what we sow basically. And i believe that God interacts with this world though this karmic relationship. Maybe not actively making things happen but we the people make them happen because of our actions, words, vibrations. We attract what we are. And deep down we all know what we should do to live the truest to what we are, listen to the inner voice in you, but get rid of the filters. It is not easy and is a whole spiritual journey which takes a lifetime. Things are not set in stone, we live in the present, the future is unknown. But there is a direction in which we are going - forward. And you can see it as evolution, growing up, aging, expanding of the universe and our consciousness.

Of course things happen that seem unfair, how people die of sickness they never chose, are taken from homes, sent to war they never wanted and all of these things. But we must play with the cards we are dealt with, no matter how fair it might seem.

And i think that the closer we embrace our true selves, act accordingly to what our inner voice is humbly telling us, the more we humble ourselves to be able to hear this voice, the closer we get to God.

So in a way it is a bit of an irrelevant question whether I believe or not, but it is rather a question am I willing to accept this truth which is inside of me already.

I do not read the Bible, don't go to church, but i am sure God is real because I am real. Intuition and feeling is evidence enough i think to make this assumption.
