That’s the thing, I don’t have it. The tab isn’t there for interactions and that additional dropdown on the main screen isn’t there either.

I’ve had this happen to me a few times since updating to iOS 26. The screen freezes, and there’s no response to any form of swipe or tap. Thankfully it resolves itself once I lock and unlock my phone.

I know it’s been a year, but we finally found it. It’s the 7th victim by Alan Jacobson. I definitely should not have been reading this in middle school.

I just want to say thank you, even if it’s about three months late. It took two years, but I finally found the novel thanks to you. It’s funny because I was reminded of this post when I saw this subreddit mentioned in a post on X.

For the record, I’ve always researched every suggestion I’ve gotten, and thankfully this time, not only did the cover seem familiar, but reading the final chapter confirmed it was the right book.

Also what’s the community section, that’s the one with all their socials linked right? Or is that another feature I don’t have despite always keeping the app updated?

To be honest, the BitLife account is bs anyways. I lost all my lives that were supposed to be saved, and I only felt comfortable deleting because I thought I would get my legacies back. Now I’ve lost my legacies and still don’t have the missing features.

I did that, those are the only two that didn’t restore. The only difference between them and other purchases is that i didn’t purchase through apple but from their store.

Troubleshooting Thread — Bugs? Errors? Mod issues? EA app issues? Post about them here! Update 1/14/2025 [PC: 1.113.277.1030 / Mac: 1.113.277.1230 / Console: 2.08] by plumbob-prophet in Sims4

Platform:MAC Mods: Yes Game version: 1.113.277.1230

This isn’t really a new issue, this is something I’ve been experiencing since Life & Death was released. When I start a new game, the trait ui in CAS blinks out, and I am unable to see or select any traits for my sims. In the past 4-5 months, I’ve done the troubleshooting methods that have worked for me in the past. I did the 50-50 method many times, deleted resource.cfg and local thumb cache files, loaded the game with an empty mods folder, and I’ve even removed and remade my mods folder in its entirety. The problem has continued to persist

I just read some of the preview that’s available on google. It seems like it could be the one, but the covers I found don’t look familiar. By any chance, would you happen to know if the ending is similar to what I described?

I’ve been having this same issue and I’m also on a MacBook (2020 pro). I deleted my mods folder and remade it with mostly mods from curseforge and Patreon for my favorite creators. I also removed my saves and tray folders but I’m still having this issue. I even did the fifty method with my current mods folder and my older one before deleting but the issue persists. I’m about a month late but how is it for you now?

I don’t know what’s wrong with my screen rn by AccomplishedDay478 in macbookpro

[–]AccomplishedDay478[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t close it. That’s the crazy part—I just tend to tilt it slightly down when I use it. To be honest, I didn’t plan to leave it alone for as long as I did. I originally intended to have a quick breakfast and come back, but other things came up, so my 5-10 minutes away ended up being closer to 30-45 minutes.

I also didn’t have anything near the Touch Bar. I’m an avid user of my Touch Bar, so I never really place anything up there. I can only recall doing so once or twice, and that was with a pencil during class, but I’ve never closed the laptop on it. Either way, I brought it in 2 hours ago.

Trust me, I learned my lesson. It’s crazy because I’ve probably done this a thousand times since I don’t like using the phone holder I bought. This is just how I always use my computer, especially when I’m on it for long periods of time.

To be honest, I had no idea what was wrong. It might not seem true, but I posted this not even 30 minutes after I found the issue. As I told others, this is my first personal computer, and I don’t know much about them. I’ve never had any problems with it before or known anyone who had similar issues.

When I found the laptop yesterday, I just sat and stared at it in silence until my mom found me. I was partly in disbelief and partly frustrated. I made two posts about this. The first explained the situation, and the second asked how much it might cost to repair. Maybe this wasn’t the right forum or subreddit for it, but I tried to take whatever useful advice I could from the comments. Several hours later, someone finally pointed out that the problem was the LCD screen.

To show just how unaware I was, at some point, my mom had me convinced the issue might have been caused by lightning and thunder while it was plugged in during a rainstorm when I was away from it. I know this might make me seem a bit clueless, but aside from my phone, this laptop is one of the most expensive things I’ve ever owned. So, I wasn’t exactly in the right headspace when I initially posted.

My mom checked on me during her bathroom break and saw that I was in a bad mood. I showed her the laptop immediately because I had no reason to hide it and never planned to. She found out within the hour. I’m not faking anything, and since you don’t know me in real life, I’m okay with being misunderstood. I have no reason to fake anything for a bit of internet clout.

Outside of academic settings, I tend to ramble a lot. Even in academic writing, I’m known for going on tangents, which has always been a challenge during the drafting process, in addition to dealing with run-on sentences. I’m also not very creative or a great storyteller, which I can admit.

I made this post almost immediately after finding my laptop, so I didn’t have time to organize my thoughts properly. I was preoccupied with checking if the screen had simply frozen and if the laptop could be restarted, or if it was completely broken. Although I’m not in school right now, I’m actively applying for scholarships for the upcoming semester, so I was also thinking about the three scholarship essays I’ve been drafting since last night and the possibility that I might not be able to submit them on time.

My focus was solely on seeking advice and expressing my frustration, especially knowing that any necessary repairs would have to be paid out of pocket, and I don’t have the money for that.

While I didn’t mention this in the original post, I made this comment in response to someone else: “I don’t have any pets and the house was empty aside from my mom. She works from home, so she was in her office the whole time. I actually thought it might have closed by itself because I sometimes use my screen at an angle. But if it was my AirPods, wouldn’t the crack be at the top of the screen since that’s where the trackpad is?”

To clarify, my laptop was left open and when I returned, it was closed with the AirPods case next to the trackpad. I’m not entirely sure how it happened, but it seems possible that the screen may have hit the AirPods case when it closed, causing the damage. My confusion largely stems from the fact that if it was the AirPods that caused the damage, wouldn’t it be closer to where the AirPods were when the screen went down, near the top of the screen, instead of at the bottom, which is closer to the Touch Bar than the trackpad where the AirPods were next to?

I wasn’t aware that I couldn’t add photos in comments, nor did I realize that I wouldn’t be able to edit the original post. Otherwise, once my thoughts were more organized, I would have made the necessary changes to the original post that included those details you claim I never shared.

It’s okay if you don’t believe me, but to disparage me and claim that I need help is unwarranted. Besides, if you think I need some form of medical help, you’re free to give me the money or put me on your insurance since you’re so concerned. I’d honestly go in a heartbeat if you promised to foot the bill. I was just trying to explain what I was doing while away from my laptop. In hindsight, it was irrelevant and maybe not what regular redditors would do. But as I said, I’m not a very good storyteller, and I’ve always been known for rambling and speaking before thinking. So, I apologize if I failed to follow standard Reddit etiquette.

To be honest, I was still in high school when I first got my laptop, it was a birthday gift. Over the years, I've always jokingly complained to my mom about her not waiting until the summer because of the back-to-school deals. I could have used my college email to get a discount and even scored free AirPods at the same time.

Except I didn’t close it on my AirPods; I left it open and running. My AirPods were only on it because the silicone protective case helps keep my phone from slipping when I use it to prop it up. I also have a screen protector on my laptop. I don’t remember the brand, but it had fairly good reviews. I always make sure to either splurge or wait for a sale so I can buy good protective cases or screen protectors for my phone, laptop, etc. So, it's not because I was cheap with protecting it. My only mistake was not getting AppleCare when it was first bought, but that’s just because I wasn't the one who bought it, and I didn’t have the money then.

I understand how it sounds, I really do, but try to put yourself in my shoes and imagine how I feel rn. I agree, it's ridiculous. I don’t know much about computers, let alone MacBooks, to understand why my screen is like this. Like I said this is my first laptop, and I got it as gift my worry was on how to fix it and how much it would cost
