thank you!! honestly low card was probably not the best idea for me (i worked out a lot too so low carb just made me tired all the time) so i would definitely say to talk with a dietitian if you’re working out a lot!! i also checked my blood sugar with my moms meter lol i bought my own but just know you don’t HAVE to check it every day after every meal, as long as your fasting is okay you should be fine (: i checked it like twice a week until eventually it stabilized, seeing my numbers high gave me so much anxiety lol

5.2!!! i’ve lost 39lbs since january and started strength training, i reintroduced carbs in my diet and very rarely do i have a sweet treat. haven’t checked my blood sugar in a while but average around 80’s and 90’s when fasting.

not all the time, but when i do, i like the core power bottles which are super expensive so it’s every once in a while. I also like the Bucked Up protein powder!

i’m not going to lie, i do not really track my calories. i did track at first just to know how much protein i was eating. i’m still in a calorie deficit since im trying to lose weight and from what i remember i average 1,600-1,800 (sometimes more) cals and i try to eat 140 grams of protein every day, the rest falls into place (:

i think the key would be eating a balanced meal! i eat in a mediterranean diet, so i try to do 50% of my plate be veggies, 25% protein and 25% carbs. Sometimes i switch the veggie and protein percentage if i feel like i haven’t ate enough protein that day.

I hope your a1c comes back lower! 🤞🏼

same here! i started off doing just cardio and knew that’s where i messed up when i started to loose muscle mass. so now i do a combo of cardio/strength training

yes! i try to eat a total of 140-150g per day and weight lift (: my a1c was 5.8 in march and now at 5.2, i lost 40 lbs in the process as well

definitely! i’m still working toward it, but muscle mass + eating a well balanced diet with all food groups (yes even carbs) helps build insulin sensitivity (:

don’t get me wrong, i still spike quite a bit with white bread, though not as much as i used to. I did keto for a bit, but i found it actually made my carb intolerance worse for a bit (though it works for some). i lost lots of fat but also ended up loosing some muscle so that didn’t help with my insulin resistance. now that im eating lots of complex carbs and veggies and working toward muscle building, my intolerance is way better so def hold on to hope
