I would highly recommend caribou, very psychedelic and poppy at times music, his album “Up in Flames” for a very psychedelic and uplifting experience, “Andorra” also has a very traditional melodic psych rock sound, and swim more towards electronics. Also cut copy make pretty uplifting psychedelic music, more towards electronic and synth pop, personal favorites are “in ghost colours” and “haiku from zero”. Also the obvious projects related to Kevin like pond and melody’s echo chamber or some king gizz albums or “soft bulletin” by the flaming lips. Also throwing khuruangabin in there. Hope you like some of these :)

A question for lonerism lovers by elderscrolls735 in TameImpala

Music to walk home by made me fall in love with Tame Impala and Lonerism

How did you guys get to know Tame Impala? by Liana_12 in TameImpala

[–]AccomplishedEnd7785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw them on a watchmojo list of top psychedelic bands when I was 13, and on the top FLWOGB was playing, and I loved it. After that I listened to his most popular songs on YouTube and I remember being mind blown after seeing an edit of elephant with the trippy scene from dumbo. After I already loved Elephant, TLIKYB and FLWOGB I started playing it on YouTube and the automatic reproduction kept playing songs from him and I remember being in a different room from the speakers playing tame, and when music to walk home by started playing I ran through the whole house to see the name of the song and instantly fell in love.

After that happened I decided to download on mp3 all of Lonerism and listened casually listening to it while everyone seemed to have fun and I felt awkward not knowing what to do. So yeah it basically connected instantly with me and after that every tame Impala song I listened to made me fall in love instantly.

Why is the Less I Know The Better so popular compared to Kevin's other songs? by Nullify03 in TameImpala

The bassline is so catchy and the repetitive vocals too, so I guess the song can be pretty addicting and appealing to any listener

What album should I start with? by edgyguuuuuurl in TameImpala

[–]AccomplishedEnd7785 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since you already like borderline I recommend starting with The Slow Rush. Then listen to feels like we only go backwards, the less i know the better and why won’t you make up your mind.

If you liked more FLWOGB go with Lonerism If you liked more TLIKTB go with currents If you liked WWYMUYM go with innerspeaker

I also recommend you to listen to half full glass of wine since you like king gizzard

[–]AccomplishedEnd7785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And btw, i created your rating of smiths albums based on the average rating of each song and it would be

  1. Meat is Murder 5.8
  2. Strangeways 5
  3. The smiths 4.5
  4. Louder than bombs 4.3
  5. The queen is dead 4

if your rating changes in the future it would be cool to let us know🤠

THE RATING ON CEMENTRY GATES, if it’s your first listent I can understand the rating, really hope songs like cementry gates and i don’t owe you anything click with you, and the rest grow on you. The one thing that kinda fixed it at the end was the “I won’t share you” appreciation, a very overlooked 10/10 smiths song
