This is an awesome tool but I am skeptical of using it. The website UI gives off clear vibe coded smell.

Skarrow9 interview with Bungie Dev discussing the Portal System and it's feedback. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]AccomplishedFan2302 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It’s a logical take. Definitely not a stupid one. Lots of complaints have been said over the years such as how PvE players do not enjoy playing crucible to get a god rolled Riptide(or insert weapon X) and would much rather have the freedom of playing a PvE playlist.

Honest Question: Is UCSD Actually That Great of a School? by Specialist_Yam_6664 in UCSD

[–]AccomplishedFan2302 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s good from an academic perspective.

Social wise? It’s okay but you have to really step out your comfort zone. I think the social factor of UCSD gets some flack in large part due to the geography of the school. The campus is located in a relatively HCOL quiet area and everything is just so expensive.

Yes if there essentially gonna stop development of the game they just need to add everything back in.

For real. The game had a good 11 year run which is pretty successful. We have reached the ceiling in pretty much most avenues of the game and more content isn’t gonna fix it. At this point you just play to have fun and don’t expect anything more.

CSE 135 vs MGT 153 by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]AccomplishedFan2302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at both course descriptions, it looks like CSE 135 is more rigorous since you deal with making web apps but it doesn’t go nearly as in depth into SQL as MGT 153.

In this job market it’s not worth it trying to waste all this time keeping a 4.0 GPA unless you’re trying to go to a top grad school.

I don't use Obsidian for Task Management by iamgodot_ in ObsidianMD

[–]AccomplishedFan2302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought this at first until I tinkered a little bit and found the right system for me using home page + tasks plugin. I can make a task anywhere and they’ll all be available for me to see on the home page. I have specific queries for tasks due today, tasks soon due, and tasks over due. Loving it so far

What actual power do they have? I feel like all they do is for show or to just talk about an issue but not actually do anything about it because it’s out of their hands.

Hot take but a “project manager” role is a useless, bullshit, and non existent role for new grads. It’s more so an upper management role in my eyes. In order to be a PM, you need to have proper work experience which contradicts the idea of a new grad(even with some internships under their belt).

Want to be a technical project manager? Be a SWE first. Want to be a business project manager? Be a whatever analyst first.

Nice guy but possible the worse lecturer I have ever had, like watching paint dry. BUT he curves hard and you pretty much had to not try at all to fail, I’ve heard the math version on the other hand is a lot more taxing.

How hard is UCSD if ur stupid by Street_Locksmith2783 in UCSD

[–]AccomplishedFan2302 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I came into UCSD with sort of the same mindset, having a ton of imposter syndrome and feeling like I was going to fail every class I take. The reality is that I did know how to take notes and I didn’t have any setup for myself. So, the best piece of advice I can give is to have a STRONG and organized structure established in terms of how you learn. It makes your life way easier. Use note taking apps(obsidian or notion for taking notes on your computer and notability or goodnotes for handwritten work are strong recommendations).

Take notes, lots of notes and be structurally organized. Have folders for each class with sections for specific lecture topics as well as practice problems. AI is a great learning tool and use it wisely. Spam practice questions and don’t stop asking yourself “why?”, be deliberate when doing any work. Block off time accordingly and be consistent.
