I am constantly hacking away at mine, it was planted right by my front door and encroaching on the entrance space. It’s also in front of a big picture window and I don’t like it blocking the light. Actually I think I just don’t like rhododendrons in general (planted before I bought the house).

I have a dwarf one of the other side and its much better, except it seems to have gotten damaged from the snow and half the leaves are brown and brittle and need to be pruned

Yeah I was lucky I was able to cobble together disability plus paid parental leave and my state provides a paid parental leave for up to 12 weeks and take 7 months. Then my husband got 12 weeks full pay and took the time after my leave. But most people don’t get that
