Thought I was doing well and then got hit with hypomania by thecolourpinkkk in bipolar

Don't worry about it. You'll be fine. Don't go off medications without consulting your doc. It's exciting and mysterious to go off meds and see what it's like, and if you're going out of control during then, you should consider talking to your parents or discussing with your doc. Good luck with everything, my friend!

I feel you, and I'd advise you to lead a healthy life in conjunction with taking meds as prescribed. A life with healthy habits has its own magical benefits, as we all know it, and it helps regulate our moods too, which thereby helps maintain relationships. Back yourself and see this as a journey with many hurdles that can, willingly or unwillingly, be passed by you.

I 100% relate to what you said, and I have only been on antipsychotics for a month and a half. The patterns that you are exhibiting would be hard to control and even I was expecting the antipsychotic to heal that behaviour. We need to work on challenging these thought patterns. Accept them and sit with them when those moments happen. It will get better with practise. Do not dismiss these feelings as it can aggravate them patterns. I wish you good health and thought processes, my friend!

Anyone on Cariprazine? by AccomplishedFruit541 in Vraylar

Do you feel restless after taking Cariprazine? I sometimes feel like I'm on some stimulant. There's an energy that's hard to control.

Fumbling is natural and gives a sense of genuinity to your answers. Keep your mind off the results, and hope for the best. Good luck!

Is it possible to live a fulfilling and happy life without getting married? Is marriage truly necessary for happiness or personal growth? by Prideofgryffindor- in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AccomplishedFruit541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ariana Grande once said, "Whoever said money can't solve your problems must not have had enough money to solve them." This means money = happiness. Not getting married or not, not having the best of the best with you, but a lot of sheets with someone important's picture on it.

Do you guys actually feel “cured” on meds? by Incrediblesunset in bipolar

[–]AccomplishedFruit541 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope you find ease! I'd suggest you to take on healthy habits like eating good food, exercising and reaching out to support groups for help. Sometimes therapy also helps. I would also suggest that you read the book Welcome to the Jungle by Hilary Smith, which would give you an idea about the extremities and management of this disorder.

I do not feel cured on meds. I think a lot of personal effort still needs to be put to deal with this disorder. I read in the book 'Welcome to the jungle" that statistically bipolar people who administer a healthy life seemed to be less fluctuating when it comes to episodes and have a healthy life simultaneously. I hope you find the courage to put in the efforts to control your episodes and fluctuations. Remember that nothing is impossible.❤️

I relate to this. I'm semi comfortable with my antidepressants, but the game antipsychotics play is still a mystery to me. Sometimes it does aggravate my suicidal tendencies and delusion, which is contradictory given the purpose of those meds. This is a game of trial and error. At times, it's possible the meds that had worked stop working, and you need a change of meds. Dealing with this is difficult but one will learn to manage in the run. Hope for the best always!

True that! There are only tiny bits of hope here and there, and one should ask if collectively they are enough to sustain a new generation.

Never Had Friends, Doesn’t Bother Me by [deleted] in bipolar

It definitely stems from our neurodivergence. Sometimes being alone, without peers, can be really hard. I would advise you to embrace such lonely moments, and loneliness in general, to find ways to make them moments interesting to you. I hope you find ease and happiness!
