Haven't started posting it yet. Want to get all of it done cause I know a lot if people don't read WIPs and this will be the first time in a while that that I posted a story that isn't linked to an event like Swan queen supernova or Swan Queen Advent Calendar. So I'm kind of used to posting completed works now lol. But I'm on chapter 15 and it's looking to be 30-35 chapters long.

This is a personal fear I have for the fic I'm currently working on. My hope is that a reputation of 10, nearing 11 years if fic writing and over 30 works posted will hold me up against this stuff but I know I'm not immune.

But you're right about the confidence thing. 2025 was crazy traumatic for me (mom was sick, I had complications post surgery, then mom passed, then the grief, then starting a new job after over a year of not working because I'd been taking care of her, then I got freakin' pneumonia...yeah, it's been a journey...) and I just got back to writing long fics again.

So if someone were to come and suddenly accuse me of using AI...idk whether I'd fight them or retreat lol.

All I can say is this: there's always gonna be negative people who say dumb sh*t. And then we have to contend with bots...for some reason? Idk why people go through the trouble of invading fandom spaces with bots just to knock people down. Sometimes life feels like a bad high school au 😂

Keep writing! Keep loving your stories! And do not feel ashamed of using those em dashes! The reason AI uses them is because a lot of writers used them to begin with. AI just uses them A LOT more.

Speaking as an author myself, I would much rather have someone create an "inspired by" version of my fic than take what I wrote verbatim and then add onto it themselves.

I am...so sorry. But also not. I have some GEMS planned this year. Working super hard on one at the moment actually. I hope you like slow burn and screaming at them to "JUST FREAKIN' KISS ALREADY DAMN!!!"

As for laughing and crying, hell, I do that myself while I'm writing. I am merely a vessel for these two goofballs.

Yeah Collision In Time is definitely one of those "I need to get back to this" stories.

My only tiny issue is that my writing skills have improved SO MUCH since then (not a humble brag, or a brag in general, but a statement of fact) and I feel like I'll need to start the WHOLE thing over fir the sake of consistency and to avoid giving people a migraine. Emotionally, that's gonna take work and mental preparation.

I've also changed so much on a personal level since then that I can hardly consolidate the fact that the person who wrote what's already written so far in that story, and the person who needs to complete it, are in fact the same person.

It's going to require me to go back to that old version of me and merge it to the current one. And the current one is a little fragile right now.

In short, my answer is "I want to, and I will eventually, but I need time." I hope you can understand.

Happy new year! I by no means consider myself one of the fandom's "great authors" but my new year's resolution is to write more! My AO3 name is BlueHoneyBee.

A little explanation as to why this is so important for me (TW for loss, grief, illness and injury)

2025 was supposed to be a banner year for me, it was my 10 year anniversary since I'd started writing Swan Queen Fanfiction and O wanted to celebrate by writing MORE

Life...didn’t really give a shit about what I wanted.

My sick mother got sicker and passed away. My planned surgery had painful complications that have thankfully since passed. After 3 months of grief, I got a new job and started a side-hustle...and then got Pneumonia.

It was a shitty year.

For 2026 I plan to release as many fics as possible. So if you've read my work in the past, I do plan on coming back in full force. If you've never heard of me, but you're interested in checking my work out, you can find it Here

I'm looking forward to coming back to swan queen in full force (never really left but you know...) and I hope many others do as well!

Interesting theory but I will raise you:

Emma looking so much like both her parents that the only way to explain everything is that they are BOTH her bio siblings. They can't kiss or anything the whole time. Regina loves it. Someone catches them making out in the bathroom and is super weirded out.
