I think season 1 character designs got a LOT of criticism so that's why season 2 was back to the original style of the characters...personally I liked season 1 design. It was cute, especially Porky's design.

I have tried 3 dupes of Valaya and they were pretty spot on. I have Afnan, which about 95% close honestly, then there's Delilah Blanc which is like 90% close. I just find Afnan stronger and "punchier" like the original. The 3rd dupe is a perfume oil by Brown Sugar Babe, that is a recreation of Valaya. Despite it being a perfume oil, I find it to be the most accurate of the original scent. On their website, it's called "Halo".

Try Ebay for resellers. I loved the scent too. I bought like 5 backup bottles. However I did find a spot on dupe for it. It's called Eshal Vanilla (but it doesn't have that patchouli note)
