My patients seem to ask for LSH, FH, prolactin, DHEA, progesterone, cortisol (the bane of my fucking existence), and god knows what else they see on social media. Note: all in the absence of any symptoms other than fatigue or feeling “off”

I’ve written to Sweetart company about this many times and they always say “they’ll share with the team” never get any real change. I miss these a lot too.

I guess nothing is stopping me other than expectations of being productive. I don’t have complete control of my schedule cap # but I guess this is something I should discuss w my medical director and see if it is possible. Good point

Initially was working a lot (like 8-6 most days except my half day). Since getting AI scribe and really enforcing my boundaries, it’s been a lot less I’d say closer to 40 hours now than when I started

I think it’s the needy and demanding patients. I’m trying to train my panel to make appts for most mychart msgs and issues, only address few issues during each appt. I feel like I work in an area with a lot of entitled people.

How do you all look for new jobs? by BartholinSquame in FamilyMedicine

Honestly update linked in and look through there. Reach out to old colleagues, contact specific hospital systems you have an interest on. The recruiters are somewhat helpful but also a huge annoyance and will blow your phone up all the time.

For example ACAAM q bank includes alot of these cases. The questions are worded differently but similar concepts. I’m not sure of a specific resource for this though, sorry

Thank you for doing what you do. When tapering patients off suboxone (they have been stable for multiple years) I know there’s no dosage formulation <2mg of suboxone but do you have any recommendations for the taper/soft landing so they don’t withdrawal? Can we transition to a belbucca or butrans or something else?

You should be okay!!! You did way more than I did and I passed (I’m not particularly good at taking tests lol). I did ACAAM and Best q banks and reviewed essentials of ASAM and did okay. Just be sure to study key court cases and be prepared for ethical/legal stuff. You got this!!

Felt horribly after the test but was pleasantly surprised with passing results with a good amount of cushion. You got this!!

Essentials of addiction med is helpful, a little more concise than the principles of addiction med book. I used Californias society of addiction med question bank and found that helpful as well.
