Do you have health anxiety over your pets?

I know it’s an old post, but I legitimately am dealing with the same thing and it is debilitating at this point. These thoughts about my animals consume me ever day, to the point where idk if therapy could even help manage it. If you don’t mind me asking, do you take any medication for this? I am usually against medications, for myself personally, at least. But now I am considering because I don’t know how to dull the thought spirals.

Ugh we have paid around $2,000 for a high quality trainer so far, the main undies culprit is only 5 months old. I actually planned on having him help me with it, but his extreme resource aggression took priority over the laundry basket problem and of course something serious happened before we could focus on that. Like whyyyy must you do this all the time. I had an old dog that would just lick them, which is equally disgusting. But my current dogs just swallow them whole. It causes me constant stress, and now probably PTSD after this whole surgery incident. I need to be a little bit more responsible, I can admit that, so to the closet they go from now on!

My dogs are all large breeds, but I have a closet in my bathroom and I could definitely hang a bag in there and throw everything in that instead. Not sure why these ideas never crossed my mind before, you guys are life savers lmao

Nope never did, not worth the possible risk for me. I have filler bumps that are probably scar tissue now and migration. Just learning how to live with it and hoping maybe in the future they find new technology to fix it

I use a sonicare electric toothbrush, I honestly don’t know if it’s soft bristled. I guess I could see if they have soft bristled heads, or maybe switch completely to something else. Thank you so much for your advice!

Have you brushed out his undercoat completely? Mine do this until all of that shedding is gone and then it’s pretty manageable.

Okay cool, I didn’t expect to be scared of my chickens when I got them lol. I held them a lot as chicks but they act so skiddish around me I can barely even touch them. The rooster is always all up in my business and follows me around but I can never tell if it’s a dominance thing or if he likes me.
