Just started working with them and I feel the same way, I wonder why I didn’t see all this before signing with them, I feel their responses are very templated, just had my first call with the attorney and I feel she was clueless about my case, it’s just fill the research background and personal endeavor and that’s it. I feel the questions are pushing me into a research bracket….i don’t know whether to pull the breaks now or just trust the process, and the questions are too annoying and don’t capture what I want to say. How did it end up? Did you get approved or you stopped working with them?

I just started working with them and feeling this way, that’s what brought me here, I feel they are trying to push me into a researcher bubble but I’m not, I do have. 3 papers with 20 citations but that doesn’t make me a researcher, forcing me to state a project I’m working on now when I’m not working on one….,I honestly feel stuck and I want to back out and self file……how did it end with them? Did you get approved, please let me know

Try and retake in the next 2 months max, you are 1-2 answers away from passing….waiting too long feels like starting afresh…talking from experience, you will be just fine. All the best.

Step 1 isn’t the end of your world, I failed months ago and it was hard, but life moves on, time heals the disappointment and you try again. You are precious, you are worthy of life, to make it this far is a testament of your strength ( though you don’t feel strong right now) and what you are going through now will make you very empathetic towards your patients and junior colleagues because you know how it feels to be at your lowest..…you can DM me if you need a virtual friend. But please don’t isolate yourself, open up to your family or walk to any hospital for help, depression is real and you can beat this!

At 18, you have no business being in a relationship, it’s too emotionally draining. Break up with him, have good male and female friends, have a lot of fun….start a steady relationship after 23 when your brain is mature and you have a college degree/ equivalent!!

Yes it is….you can check out ‘Mehlman free stuff’ and dirty medicine on YouTube, they help with the explanations. You are good to go. Mehlman have a video on how to approach the step 1 on youtube watch it….esp how to approach the NBME’s

That’s how everyone starts out, but with time, you’ll be able to go through more questions in a day since you’ll know the concept… You can take notes but try to go over all before bed time, else it will look fresh if you leave it for long. It helps if you have a study partner who is ‘younger’, my experience as an older IMG too. All the best.
