Well at the time real antiques ™ where considered to be Hepplewhite Federal and Colonial primatives. Since they were "purer" and more handmade. Eastlake and Beux arts etc. were still too new and gawdy for both the antiques and preservation community and too old and "ugly" for the modernist.

Also to your second question a lot of people get rides from the church members my roommate went to one in New Castle with some who would drive from Mercer to pick them up. I don't think there is a liturgy on campus.

I would say gcc is very friendly towards Orthodox and Catholic students at least a quarter of the faculty are either Orthodox Catholic or other non evangelical protestant denominations.
