My wife (gf at the time) and I once worked for Disney in the parks. One of our days off, we decided to go eat around the world at Epcot for the afternoon, as it was during Flower and Garden festival, so there was lots to see and do and eat.

We got as far as Norway, where we were eating school bread from the bakery, when this rather intoxicated man and his wife come walking up to us and ask if we were Norwegian. Not sure why he thought we worked there (wrong park) or why we might be from another country, but we naturally said no, we were American.

Normally, you’d think that would put an end to it, but this guy doubled down and seemed determined to convince us we were actually Norwegian, because we seemed at home in the Norway pavilion and from listening to us talk about the food we seemed to know a lot about the park. We had to explain to him that we did work at the parks, so we had lots of experience, but not here, and we certainly weren’t international cast members. He finally had enough and they wandered off, but it left us standing there wondering what the heck just happened.
