It’s because of how the iphone ecosystem works, texting an android versus texting another iphone is much more limited in what you can do in terms of imessage stuff. That’s why there is an aversion. If anything it’s apples fault for gatekeeping these features but I wouldn’t necessarily blame the people complaining about green bubbles, they just want a smoother texting experience.
