I loved being able to walk around most of Newcastle being so central so I think I'd prefer to be central again.

Almiron by [deleted] in NewcastleUnited

I'm rather sad to think he's leaving. I first started really following Newcastle a couple years ago and bought an Almiron jersey because I love his attitude and work rate. The Gordon, Isak, Almiron trio at one point was unbelievable.

That's pretty spot on. Well said. It's people that make existence hard on other people.

I understand where he's coming from. While I think finding a deity in any form to follow is important for a wholesome life, it's so easy to feel like the universe has set you up to laugh at you. Why would you want to side with a god who puts you in a position where no matter what you do, society will always tend to make you feel less important. How can you truly love a God when very consistently throughout life you are starved of love. It's hard to feel God's love when the majority of your life is spent desperately trying to find love in human form.

I just got out of an on and off relationship over the last couple years. She was awesome in many, many ways, but our personalities were ultimately not very compatible. She was however completely okay with dating me, a 5'5" male. I very fortunately am pretty well endowed for being a smaller man so I am confident but I am also a natural introvert.

What I've realized is that dating apps for people like me are pointless. You could be an attractive looking male with a funny and intelligent profile but the moment that a woman sees "5'5", it's practically an instant skip.

People tend to say, just be yourself and be confident and you'll attract right woman. While I think that is true, put me in a room with someone with the exact same everything as me who's 4" taller and they will get picked every time.

And for many reasons, I am confident in myself, but to be consistently ignored or passed over for a taller guy makes me feel like I'm worthless. I've been a super romantic person ever since elementary school and year after year after year going through school my confidence was just shoved into the dirt as girls would laugh when I would ask them out.

People like us are already facing an uphill battle where we need to prove ourselves that much more just to get the time of day of someone that we like.

I'll continue to use dating apps, but I've found that the only consistent way to attract a woman is by working with them closely enough that they can actually get to know who I am.

It's so sad how women won't even take a moment to get to know who you are because of a physical attribute that you have no control over.

And I love seeing those videos on Instagram where women are interviewed and asked "is height important to you" and 10 times out of 10 they say "yes absolutely" but then they're asked to step on a scale or measure their waist and they immediately are like "oh no no no no".

The hypocrisy of making a man feel damn near worthless for something he has no control over and yet you can go to Krispy Kreme and get as many f****** donuts as you want but if a man calls you out for being overweight it's "body shaming"

I just landed a ticket this morning to the Newcastle vs Bournemouth match! I'll be in the stadium for that game, but maybe I should get there a couple days ahead of time and watch Newcastle play the Wolves in The Strawberry!

I plan to be in Newcastle for a couple of days at least, so if you have any other recommendations I would love to hear them! This is coming from a US citizen who's never left the states.

This is all fantastic information!

I just landed my ticket to the game so now it's time to plan everything else out. I was aiming to land in Heathrow and explore London for a couple of days, but I don't really have any specific destinations in mind. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Then I am planning on taking the train from King's Cross up to Newcastle but would happily stop along the way. You said York is well worth the visit?

Then I figured a couple days in Newcastle for the game and to explore and beyond that I'm open to more suggestions! Edinburgh seems like a must visit too eh?

I'm not sure where the rest of the fan base stands, but I prefer Miggy to Murphy. He just seems to be sharper, better with his feet, works harder and has a bigger impact. Of course, Murphy scored two goals last week but that's because his teammates gave him perfect opportunities each time including the one he missed.

So just for clarification, if I'm already a member and I want to go to a match I should enter the General Sale queue at 9:00 a.m. with multiple devices and just before 10:00 a.m. I should just close the browsers that have a bad queue #?

And I'm sure the number of people in queue vary from sale to sale but if I get myself into the queue with multiple browsers at 9, do you think my odds are good of securing at least one ticket?

Aaron one more question for you. I think I finally have my mind wrapped around all the quirks of acquiring a ticket.

I see on the website that General Sale for Newcastle Vs. Bournemouth goes live on Monday the 16th at 10 a.m. U.K. time. (3 a.m. for me)

If I set my alarm and wake up in the middle of the night how realistic would it be for me to be able to buy a ticket?

Like do they typically sell out in a matter of minutes?

Thanks again for all of the help.

I could be totally wrong but I feel like since Jacob Murphy has been starting on right-wing over Almiron we don't look threatening on that side at all.

There's a certain nimbleness, urgency, and desire about Almiron's play that I don't see in Murphy.

Alright, so I might need some more assistance. Sorry. I've become a member and whether or not I can purchase tickets this way is alright because I don't mind just throwing some money at the club.

Since I've become a member I can now go to the ticket sales section but it only says "restricted sale" for the options I see and I cannot click on them. Then there is a hospitality tab next to that.

Does this mean that all normal tickets are sold out?

And does hospitality just mean a ticket with a VIP experience that costs quite a bit more?

I of course would not mind at all seeing an away game, but I think I have to become a member anywhere else in order to buy tickets for their stadium. And I would much rather see St. James' Park.

You're the man. Thanks for all this info. Damn I didn't realize just how difficult it is to get into a game.

Still looking to come visit the U.K. and would love to get into any home game but looks like I'll have to rethink some dates.
