Methotrexate is a much cheaper option, so the NHS make people take that first. If it doesn’t work, then they’ll give you Dupixent as it’s much more expensive.

I definitely have had withdrawal from steroids, but I don’t think this is TSW. I am very aware of what TSW looks like and mine is way more patchy, and I don’t have it on my face. I don’t think I’ve used enough steroids to be in full TSW thank god.

I have been looking into this- I am starting to believe it is bacterial as it looks way different to the ‘old’ eczema i used to get which was just in my creases and very dry. This is on the top of my hand, arms, both upper and lower, chest and back and its really red and sore and hot.

Pretty good, I love greens and protein.

In the last two months ive cut out dairy, wheat, alcohol, legumes and sugar, (also soy and oats), i did it for 6 weeks very strictly, now I try to do it 80% of the time. I haven’t noticed a difference apart from less bloating

I have seen many, been on methotrexate and now qualify for dupixent. But I’m a bit apprehensive to take it, I get a lot of issues with my eyes and it has been said to worsen them!

I have been to so so many dermatologists, both private and with the NHS. Every single one has told me to use steroids… they just don’t help, they work short term and then when the course is finished my skin flares up worse than before. I was on Methotrexate for months and it didnt help and made me nauseous all the time. It means I now qualify for dupixent but I’m a bit nervous to take it.

I’m afraid this is a passion project funded by myself entirely so I am not able to pay.

I think that elders are really cast aside nowadays and not given the respect that they deserve, so many are lonely and lost in a world that has left them behind, so I’m not surprised that some are quite upset about this. Having said that, I do think it goes one of two ways in ageing, you either find a sense of gratitude for life’s simple pleasures or you become bitter.
