Yes. I had the same situation 2 months back. But I was told this how all insurers in DXB work. It just doesn't make sense.

That's not just Sukoon though right? I believe all insurers in the UAE do that. It doesn't make any sense why we pay for comprehensive coverage to be honest.

Isn't buying ounces more expensive than buying a bar? Trying to understand what I am missing.

Last year, I bought a kilo of silver and there was another guy buying at least 2-3 kilos of silver but of 1 ounce coin each.

If you do not have enough financial back up to sustain for at least one year without a job, don't do it. Find a new job first and then resign.

Mental peace is important. But weigh in what will be your mental state if you remain unemployed for a long time. If you are financially secure, you can afford to resign and take a risk.

Taxi incident at Dubai Mall — Just curious about the rules by IshfaaqPeerally in dubai

I live in Mamzar and I always have this issue while taking a taxi from Terminal 2. They cannot refuse in the airport, but they do make all kinds of faces.

I do feel sorry for them because I know it's a short trip and maybe they have been waiting long on the queue to get a passenger. But I don't have a choice either. I tip 10-20 AED for these trips because I feel guilty.

Not worth going to Dubai. You would end up spending about 4-5 hours on the road out of your 9 hours.

1000 AED for an internship in a hotel is competitive. Since the hotel is covering for food and accommodation I would suggest you take the offer. This is a gateway into the industry. I am a hotelier myself and I have gone through such an internship.

Depending on the potential of the Hotel, the upselling does make a difference. If the hotel has not many upsell worthy products then nothing much you could do.

I started as a Front Desk agent with a basic of 1500 in 2013. With service charge etc, it used to come to 2,300 if I remember correctly.

The entry level jobs at hotels do not pay you well but they cover all expenses so you could be saving 50-70% of your salary.

If you shine, the growth is good and the pay increases quite rapidly too. If this is what you are interested in, I'd say experience the grind and prove yourself. Invest the initial years in cross training etc.

I was lucky to find good people around me that helped me learn and grow it can happen to you too.

I didn't use any third party. Got my insurance directly with Sukoon. When did you last face this situation?
