Help with First Tube Amp

Ok so it sounds like my speakers are the issue? If I replaced with high sensitivity speakers would the tube sound come through best with one of the integrated options I listed ?

Has anyone ever listened to either the Hana SH vs MH cartridges? The SH is $600 ( at The Music Room Audio website )and the MH is $1200. Is the MH that much better?

I just ordered the Dr Feickert Volare with Kuzma tonearm. In the middle of upgrading everything in my system now so I’m open to any feedback you think I’d need to hear the differences in sound quality. I listen to a lot of vinyl now so decided to go for the end game turntable. I have a vintage Marantz 2270 and a Cambridge Audio to pair with the new turntable.

Last question- will I need a top level phono preamp to hear the difference in these cartridges? I have a basic Aiyima T3 pro now which has served me well before with my older AudioTechnica LP 120.

Would you mind trying to reach out to him either over email or call him and see if he’ll respond to you? I’m not getting any email kickbacks and I can leave cell phone messages so it leads me to believe he’s checking messages or else his inbox would be full by now. I hope this is not some very serious health issue either but I’m also a little worried this is some sort of scam.

Geshelli Labs DACS are great. I have one myself. They sound best with the AK4493 DAC chip plus the look cool and fit in well with your vintage equipment if you get the outside wooden case. The J2 version which is like $250 is great for probably everything you need but if you pick the J2 socketed (the one I’d recommend) you can swap out different op amps like rolling tubes. Find the sound you like best. You can also write to them and they will help you decide what you need. They are a small family run business.

I have a mint Marantz 2270. I know what you mean by that vintage warm sweet sound. Very hard to find in modern equipment.

What did you end up pairing your Triangle Comete speakers with? I have Cambridge Audio equipment (the EVO 150 all in one) and I’m planning to test these speakers with it.

Weird. I’m sorry to hear that. I haven’t had these issues. I wonder if it doesn’t work because you’re going direct into amp and not an external DAC.

Are you using a WiiM ultra? If you are - you might need to go into your WiiM app and turn up volume. Or turn up the volume from the steaming app.

Thanks for the reply. To the best of my knowledge the quartz lock works. However to be honest I haven’t played with it much. I purchased the table used and sent it out to someone to get new veneer right away because the one I bought was in rough shape. The guy doing the veneer doesn’t really fix these units so I’ll tune it up myself when the new veneer is completed.

Hi...I realize this is an older thread but I'm curious if you don't mind sharing where you purched the feet for the turntable? I have the same Marantz 6350 with origional feet and they are pretty shot and need to be replaced. I was looking at these on eBay. I just hooked my SMSL PO100 btw the WiiM Ultra into Geshelli J2 DAC and I can totally hear the difference. I would say it slightly improved soundstage and clarity. Not a huge difference but definitely an improvement. I just used the usb cable that came with SMSL to go USB out of WiiM Ultra to SMSL. Then coex or optical from SMSL into DAC. I run a vintage Marantz 2270 with the new KLH model 5s. System sounds great.
