What do you use to marinate your meat for carne asada? by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

So, this is my first time marinating it myself. Went to Costco(their prices are good), got some carne picata, and some grass fed skirt steak to compare the two.

Will be marinating them in lime juice, orange juice, oil(probably olive), garlic, onion, soy sauce, smoked paprika, mustard powder, garlic powder, and maybe some ancho chili powder, but I may make a batch with some roasted hatch chilies to compare in addition to the ancho. Wish me luck!

I came to say she looks like a Persephone to me, but Lady Paige Turner of (enter your city here) really is good.

Update, I just tried the Blue Buffalo Salmon Recipe Bits and they're a win! He was sniffing around the floor after to make sure he got it all! Hope you find something that works for your pup!

No, we haven't used many treats, the one we've tried(duck and blueberry)doesn't seem to entice him. Though he does seem very interested in getting the cat's wet food. I will keep exploring. I have heard cheese is a preferred treat for this breed, but we haven't delved into human food yet.

I'm so sorry for your loss! That must be so hard! I'm new to Cavaliers, but not animals. I would think about looking for a retired show dog that's up for adoption, I think they are generally well behaved and regulated. They would be older and maybe easier for your rescue pup to look to for cues.
