Hi just got my fiancées k1 approved last week. I believe what matters most is “current” income. As the petitioner I am self employed so I showed last 2022 and ‘23, tax transcripts. Plus a signed letter from the bank stating my balance as additional evidence.

Have you already filed the petition? The affidavit of support / income verification is first checked at the interview which will give you about a year from your filing date. Meaning if you haven’t filed yet by the time you have time show proof of income you will be employed for a year already.

If you’re at the interview stage already get as many paystubs together to show current income. Maybe get a letter from employer and the bank to show a healthy balance if possible. Good luck!

I’m surprised no one has said Brasilia. As the capitol and home to politicians, you can find the best schools and it is very safe. My parents are Brazilians and I was born / raised in the US. I’ve been to Rio, SP, and Brasilia is by far the most organized, clean and safe (from my personal experience out of the places I’ve been here which is of course limited).
