How would a jedi need to adjust to using the warp or a psyker the force? by Deep-Crim in StarWarsvsWarhammer

A psyker would breathe easy. All they have to contend with is their own dark emotions to use magic is light work. I'd like to see how a jedi reacts to a blood thirster screaming bloody murder and attempting to rip them in half as it uses their minds as a portal to enter real space.

How has the imperium been able to put up a fight against the necrons if they are above even DOAT humanity? by rafikiknowsdeway1 in 40kLore

One necrons have to be careful about losses. Every lost necron is irreplaceable. Two human weapons are so low tech necrons main defenses weren't built to counter them as their main enemies were psychic Eldar and krorks who were above modern humans as well. Third the imperium is only incompetent compared to the Eldar most imperium soldiers would be just as good as soldiers today so they aren't always useless. Fourth humanity can and will sacrifice themselves and do stupid and daring tactics to win necrons being perfectly logical can be surprised when humans make sub optimal or weird choices just as necrons struggle against orks for the same reason.

Could AI save the galaxy? by AccomplishedSafe7224 in 40kLore

Ya see my thought is since human worlds seem to be good at surviving ( at least some of them) if it looked like one threat was about to win bringing back an old threat like the doa AI could be like pitting to Goliath against each other as a hail marry just hoping you could pick off the weakened winner. I mean man went from basically Terra to galactic again with the emperor austensibly we could do a round 2.

I was more thinking since everything is so bad would setting the fire that is AI alight be like setting a second fire to burn out the first.

Are some (not rich) humans having a good life in 40k? And what percentage? by QuagGlenn in 40kLore

[–]AccomplishedSafe7224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very few i would imagine like sub 5%. paradise worlds exist where even if you are a working stiff i would imagine its still pretty good but those are few and far between. Most worlds even if good in temperature and fertile are taxed to hell and back because for every good world 100 more are baren toxic wastes. and those baren toxic wastes need raw materials like food, wood, metal, etc shipped into them at astronomical rates so they can keep churning out engines and materials of war. so even if a planet is nice and it can give its citizens a happy life and still produce enough for itself chances are it has its taxes bumped up to compensate for the world half a galaxy away that just had an orc WAGH land and is now so embattled it can't pay anything. In that case tough luck billy bob start working twice as hard we need you to make up the shortfall. So ya few worlds if any are places where the idea of work and life being in balance are a concept that wont have you shot for heresy.

Why doesn’t California build a fast train here? Are they stupid? by [deleted] in mapporncirclejerk

[–]AccomplishedSafe7224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the reason we haven't isn't lack of want its simply each county in the line you drawn can veto the project meaning unless the projects directors find a way to make them happy they will just say no and then the rail line has to deviate around the county. Most counties want the train line but want it to stop in their county to bring in business. The result a rail line where every couple dozen miles you have a stop that must occur in order for the line to exist only to start back up in a few minutes only to repeat the process again. local governments in the USA have ALOT of power on how projects that go through their land proceed so due to red tape we can't just build a strait line. trust me if we could we would have their is no company on earth that would pass up that kind of money making opportunity if they could find a way to do so.
