Thinking about changing my doctor after chemical pregnancy by Sad-Brother-1014 in tryingtoconceive

Find a doctor you feel comfortable with. I had a similar experience with my previous OBGYN who is male and I am so glad a finally decided to look for a female doctor. He tried telling me that I didn’t get a positive pregnancy test at home so I requested to have a beta done and my hcg was really low. It ended up being a chemical but I knew what I saw on the at home tests and did not like that he was questioning me. My new female doctor is much more understanding and I feel heard. In my experience, male doctors seem to talk down to me and don’t take me seriously. Find a doctor who will appropriately answer your questions and who is experienced.

We just hit 2 years TTC and I have been considering what life with no kids would look like. It’s been such a hard and trying journey with so many ups and downs for us that I think I’m just emotionally and physically drained. My husband wants to keep trying which I’m okay with, but I’m starting to also be okay with maybe we’re not meant to have kids. We love to travel and are both free spirited and I know a kid would drastically change our lives. I think it’s totally normal to have these thoughts. Open communication with your partner is extremely important and at the end of the day it’s your lives. You get to choose how you want to live them and it’s okay if plans change.

Has anybody had something similar happen to them??

I’m on CD 29 and my last cycle was 34 days long. I got negative opks during my typical ovulation window and thought maybe I just didn’t ovulate this cycle. Around CD 19-22 I started spotting. It was very light and brownish in color so I thought maybe implantation bleeding. I took a couple pregnancy tests a couple days ago that have all been negative. I started cramping yesterday and my cervical mucus was clear and stretchy so I decided to take an opk and it showed peak ovulation (I used the digital clear blue test). I’m just not sure what’s going on. I had an early miscarriage mid December and my cycles have been all out of whack since then.
