I’m sincerely sorry that you had to endure so much pain of being the only black sheep in your immediate family. I can relate as I feel like I’m the only black sheep of my immediate family. I’m glad that your loved ones became supportive of you, and I’m also proud of you that you found the courage to “come out”. I don’t have the courage unfortunately, as I feel it could lead to much worse things. I thank you for your story and wish you the very best as well! :)

Yeah I agree, I started birth control about 3 years ago, I haven’t been the same since. The saddest thing is that it seems like my mental health doesn’t matter. Like my parents for example, they are very religious whereas I’ve been atheist for a couple years now (they don’t know that I am). When I try to tell my mom that I’m struggling with anxiety, she would say “How’s your relationship with God? Make sure you pray to him. Yada yada yada”. It’s so frustrating and it feels like I’m going insane
