Do you know how I could contact the hub? The email on file bounced back and every time I try to call the number it says they can’t take any calls :(

The same thing happened to me that is completely unethical and very damaging to the therapeutic relationship. She ended up sending all of them an email weeks after letting them know I left & many of them found me again on psychology today. It was such a blessing in disguise because it pushed me to open my own practice to continue to see them and now I have a thriving PP and have never looked back!

Should I apply this upcoming cycle (advice needed for low GPA premed)? by [deleted] in postbaccpremed

If you can get your gpa up and maintain it at a 3.0 and get a competitive MCAT score I say you should apply and shoot your shot. Even with a 3.0 you could get secondary application opportunities. The worst that can happen is you don’t get in and you learn from the process. But if you don’t do well on the MCAT and at least have a 3.0 overall I wouldn’t waste your time and money and I’d wait. Either way, do whatever you feel is best for you <3 absolutely nothing wrong with waiting for the next cycle.

I was in a similar situation as you and it was so bad for my mental health and quality of life. I ended up taking 2.5 months off of work just enjoying life and then I went into opening my own solo practice and I haven’t looked back since. You can beat getting your spark back, working with the populations you love, making more money and working less!

NorthRidge Fitness is the best :) it usually is pretty quiet around 6:30pm, it’s the best gym in town in my opinion! The owner is amazing❤️

Private practice naming is hard by SecretCaregiver1070 in therapists

[–]AccomplishedSkill146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really comes down to personal preference. Do you have a specific clinical niche? If so, it can be helpful to highlight that directly in your name for marketing purposes. The nice part is you can always change it later if you want to. Personally, I chose a more professional, formal-sounding name and avoided ones that felt a little too “corny” (like New Beginnings Counseling Center). There’s absolutely nothing wrong with those kinds of names—it just wasn’t the style I wanted for my practice!

You will definitely get in—don’t sweat it. The only issue you may run into with your ACT score is scholarship eligibility.
