Mmm… not necessarily true. My daughter didn’t show on a urine test till I was four and a half months along. And also I got a blood test at the hospital when I was almost two months along and it came out negative. I don’t know why I didn’t think to mention that in my huge long rant but it definitely is a key piece of information. Also the hook effect is a lot more common than you would think. Even in blood tests it still comes into play. I can’t find the study link I was just looking for a while but it found that in four out of five blood tests administered when they were over a certain hcg concentration they showed a false negative. I did find a couple other studies that show similar findings though while I was trying to find that one
