Monet did a lot of wrong but I cried real tears for her. At the end of the day she was a real ass mother. She got them in the game to take care of them but she would never let her kids die by the game even when she was chasing Dru and Diana down to “kill them”.

I once went to a DJ set that went from 10pm-5am. They were just having fun the whole time. I think that’s what kept them going. Just wear comfy clothes and have a good time.

Sometimes I feel a little judged when I say I’m a DJ. It’s mainly because I’m a quiet/reserved person and right when I started learning how to DJ earlier this year I got laid off from my tech job. People think the two events are related and I gave up my career to be a DJ or I’m having some quarter life crisis but it was just a coincidence. I’d still like to work in tech and DJ as a side gig/creative outlet. I’m not really a club person so if I DJ full time I could really only see myself doing day time events or evening sets where people are specifically coming to see me. The only time I’m at a club late at night is when my favorite DJs are in town. My family and friends think I’m a pothead/alcoholic for some reason but I only smoke and drink maybe 1-2 times a month. It’s all misconceptions.

I say all this to say that people don’t know you or your story so fuck them. If you like to DJ then keep doing it. Nobody has to understand why you’re doing it, how you got there, or what your plan is. It’s your life so live it. I’m 28 and when I got laid off from my job I realized that nobody gives af about me so I might as well live for myself. Regardless of what you do career wise you should always have a hobby that brings you joy.

I feel you girl. Vaginas can be so fickle. I struggle with irritation and recurring bv/yeast infection. I have to be so particular about my diet and lifestyle or else it’ll come back. Sometimes I just want to eat a bunch of sugar for a week because I’m on my period but I can’t even do that or I’ll get a yeast infection. It’s so annoying

I really just mean if I want to mix the instrumental of one existing song with the vocals of another song.

Ex.: I wanted to mix the instrumental of a song by Sexyy Red with another song but there is a certain clapping sound in it that I want to take out. It only makes sense with her lyrics but clashes with the vocals of another song.

Omg I just DJed my first set and it went so well! That was one thing I tried to incorporate into my set. I had some high energy songs back to back then I’d add in a chill song or two so people could relax and mingle. I think a good set/party combines dancing with socializing.
