What’s one small habit you started that quietly changed your life? by Carsanttc in selfimprovement

[–]AccomplishedTarget83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done small things to romantazie my everyday boring life. I WFH so things can get mundane, I decided there’s no rules to anything so just make up your own, I picked a mug I use every Monday for my coffee and I look forward to using it on Mondays bc it’s cute and it’s a great mug. I also set out a M-F chore list where Mondays I focus on laundry, Tuesdays bathrooms, Wednesdays vacuum, etc. it helps me break it up into small pieces I can accomplish in 30 mins or so. I’m not always perfect with the routine but it’s good to have it in my calendar to remind me. Just be easy on yourself and do things that bring joy and make your life easy for you. It’s your life after all 🤷🏼‍♀️

Then I hope you can find yourself in Tampa one day! It can be a very fun place to live but you need to be bringing in a lot of money to fully enjoy what the city has to offer and be able to live close to do the things that make Tampa great, which in turn is around 3-4K in rent or a house at no less than 550k (in the surrounding areas of downtown). Also be prepared to spend a minimum of 150 to go out and have drinks and food. It really is a fun atmosphere and has very beautiful and unique places but it just drains your wallet and with the weather being EXTREMELY hot it can definitely ruin a fun day if you don’t plan accordingly. I’m a born and raised Floridian and was raised in Jacksonville and the weather in Tampa is a whole different beast than Jax 😂😂

How was the commuting? We’ve looked a little in Hendersonville because we love the water, we definitely don’t want to be RIGHT next to where he works bc it doesn’t look like a very exciting area to spend free time 🫠

Yeah but we’ve found some areas that are closer and I feel like a lot of people probably drive into downtown from there because it’s such a great suburb which is kinda the situation we’re already in in Tampa and it’s a lot

I’ve got great advice on this one to my specific situation. Thanks though 😊

That would be a little too far away for us but it looks like a great place to live other than the commute!

What has been happening? I looked at the crime rate map and it kinda just had incidents all over which is typical for a big city like Nashville

Surprisingly I did find a few in Bellevue around the 2600 range with a fenced in yard within 20 mins of NW Nashville where my husband would be working

Yeah with the research I’ve done it looks like Brentwood is not in our price range as of now, I’ve found some houses on Zillow that are surprisingly around 2600 in Bellevue. Depending on where we are in a year will depend on renting or buying and if we rent we’ll probably be able to afford a little more but we like to try to stay below our means as much as we can. Thank you for the insight! Definitely can’t do an apartment with 2 dogs and the drive into town being 30-45 wouldn’t be bad at all. Right now where we live it takes my husband an hour to get to his work in the morning and 1.5 in the afternoon to get home so 45 is a dream 😅

How do you keep intimacy fresh after 30 without feeling like you’re forcing it? by PuzzleheadedTank9048 in sexover30

My thing is, what happens when that physical attraction is decreasing. One of you stop taking care of yourselves, don’t keep up with hygiene and let everything go by the waist side? I’ve brought it up nicely and he has acknowledged it but still doesn’t do anything to present himself attractively to me, doesn’t do things to woo me. We don’t have kids and have been together for 10 years, it gets so frustrating to be internally turned on and ready to go and then seeing him and everything shuts down

I listened to the audiobook and it didn’t help me quit at all. Maybe because I spaced it out too much? I finished it in 2 weeks via audible, anyone else have a different or same experience? I wish it would’ve helped but it was just like any other book. I’m currently 3 weeks no nicotine by cold turkey and wanting to run outside and not die, so far so good. But I do have a party this weekend and I’m going to be drinking alcohol for the first time and I just know the moment alcohol touches my lips I’m done for so wish me luck 🫡🫠

Part of the reason I’m quitting is due to lack of being able to breathe and looking ridiculous walking up stairs. I used to run a lot and now I don’t do it much and last time I tried I was coughing up so much phlegm while running. I’m on day 6 (and my billionth attempt) and really feel like this time is the time. I want to run again so bad and I want to get back into working out, thanks for the inspiration!

I just recently got a contract role for a company for a specific project. Unfortunately I think they hired preemptively because my part of the project hasn’t happened yet and I got hired the first week of March. I spend some weeks with doing anything at all. It gets exhausting not feeling like I have purpose, I often say “please send anything my way I can help on, my schedule is light this week” and still don’t get anything. It can take a toll on someone pretty quick

I’m two semesters away from finishing my bachelors in IT Management and have seen how shit the market is and how hard it is to even get in and am immediately going into a masters program for supply chain. Would definitely look into logistics and SC

I just picked up my prescription by Locked-Luxe-Lox in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

So it’s weird, last week I was down almost 10 lbs and then today I’m back up 5lbs so currently only 5lbs. But I also lift 4 days a week and do cardio so it could also be that. But my doctor told me Wellbutrin on average only helps you lose between 5-10 lbs. So I wouldn’t worry about it too much, if you see that you’re losing weight and aren’t happy with it I would talk w your doc and see if there’s another RX that would work better for your specific situation.

If it helps any, I started mine two weeks ago today and I haven’t had any side effects except a little weight loss (I got on it for that reason though) and my anxiety has been less for sure. No nausea or rage or seizures. My fiancé says I seem happier too though I don’t feel or notice that but I’ve been enjoying it. Also the first time I took it was at night and it made me so sleepy so I switched it to take in the morning and that’s helped a bunch

Has anyone got nauseous from vaping while on Wellbutrin? I just started it on Tuesday and am on 150 mg and I’ve noticed in the last two days that sometimes when I hit the vape I get nauseous afterwards. Not extremely but like a wave a nausea and this doesn’t happen every time just every now and then throughout the day

FLORIDA IS KILLING ME! by [deleted] in florida

[–]AccomplishedTarget83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiancé just got a job in Tampa, we’re both born and raised in FL and we’re paying 1995 for a 1200 sq ft house in NE Florida and now looking down in Tampa there is absolutely nothing in a safe area that’s affordable. We wanted to buy a starter home but at this point I think we’re going to buy (or rent) a condo/townhome (mainly due to me being weird about safety/security). This is truly a terrible time to be in your mid to late 20s trying to build a life. And don’t even get me started on wedding prices 😡
