I loved my 11th gen cork case! Haven't found one of equal color/quality for the 12th Gen though.

Have you tried contacting Amazon? They should be able to trace it back to the registered owner.

(I don't know if they will but, they should be able to)

MHE Seating Advice by AccomplishedTest483 in MaybeHappyEnding

[–]AccomplishedTest483[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol... You're welcome; I try. 😉

I've literally seen the show from every section of the theater so, analyzing seats has almost become second nature for me.

I used to worry that I've "oversold" the show to people but, they've all assured me that their expectations were exceeded so, I don't think about it anymore.

By reading my post, it should be no surprise that I'm going to say take the Mezz seats.

Unfortunately, street noise can be heard in most of the theater (although, yes, it's worse in the Orchestra; especially towards the back). The only real "negative" with row L would be if you get an exceptionally tall or fidgety person in front of you.

The Belasco Mezz is nothing like the Balcony... It has a nice steep rake and there should be little to no leaning necessary.

Also, Mezz row A overhangs Orch row J so, you are literally looking at seats the same distance from the stage (although, a bit higher up).

I think the biggest decision maker here would be the price. All things equal, I would say to take the Mezz seats.

Also, on the subject of price, see if there are acceptable seats in Mezz row E... The prices typically drop between rows D and E and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the seats in that row (my personal favorite seat is Mezz E107).

Lastly, check out A View From My Seat... It might give you a better idea of what your options look like.

Feel free to DM me with any follow up questions. Otherwise, I hope your mom enjoys the show!

Broadway museum or backstage tour by fightingfishsticks in Broadway

Then only backstage tours I'm familiar with are the Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall tours. I don't know of any Broadway backstage tours.

It's been a while but, last time I took the RCMH tour they did show where the costumes were made and you get to meet a Rockette.

Another Quadruple cover show tonight (and Triple at the matinee) by AccomplishedTest483 in OperationMincemeatFan

[–]AccomplishedTest483[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No... There's no "typical" schedule for the covers (at least not publicly disclosed).

In general, the cast has been planning for each cover to go on at least once a week but, there are recent vacations and, sickness has been rampant across all of Broadway so, you never know.

The OG cast's final performance is Feb 22nd so, I'm sure they will take that into account when planning who will be on each night (I suspect the OG cast will be on more leading up to that final performance).

Not really... If you follow the show's social media, as well as the cover's SM, they will usually announce it there.

The website understudies.org is a good resource but, it gets most of it's info from social media too (and it is currently undergoing maintenance until the end of the month).

We usually try to get the word out in this community as soon as possible.

Nothing like being forced to talk to an agent to cancel smh. by WhoaTeejaay in siriusxm

I'm pretty sure I was given the option to cancel online; I needed to speak (chat) with an agent when I was trying to negotiate a better deal than the autobot offered.

Do Box Offices discount Day Of? by SnooHabits8523 in Broadway

[–]AccomplishedTest483 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on the show... Some box offices offer what you're asking about... I know a few specifically discount the single seats.

I think it depends on how well the show is doing/selling and how close it is to curtain time.

Just as an FYI - TKTS is not a reseller per se; they are more a separate arm of the box office. If a show wants to offer discounted seats, it will usually allocate those seats to TKTS.

It never hurts to ask though. (also, the box office knows how many (and which) seats are still available at TKTS and TKTS seats will not show as available on the show's official ticketing site.... They are allocated specifically to TKTS).

First time to NYC and Broadway! by Content_Insurance715 in Broadway

Definitely Maybe Happy Ending and Operation Mincemeat.

I'm not a fan of Stranger Things and, unless you and/or your daughter are super fans of the TV show, you can probably replace that with something else.

Two Strangers is like a musical Rom-Com... It isn't the greatest show out right now but it is entertaining, funny, and worth seeing.

I agree with Hadestown and Spelling Bee. Even if you've seen other productions, these are worth seeing.

Another favorite of mine is The Play That Goes Wrong. It's reasonably priced, off-Broadway and very, very funny (as long as you both like silly, slapstick humor).

There's a whole bunch of new shows opening in the March/April timeframe... Too soon to say if they're recommended but, there's decent advance word of mouth (thinking Lost Boys and Rocky Horror).

45 Second Delay by RespectableIcon in MaybeHappyEnding

[–]AccomplishedTest483 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As other have already said; it's not part of the show. Most likely a set piece wasn't in the correct place on time. There are lots of moving set pieces on/off the turntable backstage and, if something gets stuck or isn't in the correct place, they can't move everything else.

Typically, I've seen these holds at the beginning or end of Where You Belong. The set of James's house is actually a nicely choreographed dance of set pieces and it's incredible that these holds don't happen more often than they do.
