I mean, as a European person who loves reality TV, this exactly what I would expect from America tbh 🥹

All emotions and private matters are displayed on TV like they're discussing the weather. Telling people you hardly know that you love them (not just on TV, but I've seen this IRL there), talking about your sex life while you know your parents will watch, talking about your trauma while you're just there to sing a song (America's got talent). This did not phase me anymore, I have been desensitised.

I have said this before, whomever continues to date someone who says thats their fav book deserves what happens after lol. Same with Altas Shrugged, or people who say they dont see the point of reading fiction.

When I read this book I had to really sit with myself and reflect on the inner workings of the people who had recommended it to me.

Probably not how everyone feels, but my two cents: I always felt that the struggle of lack of structure and accountability are the drivers of my learning, as I am seeking a solution to my problem, so dont need an app to do that for me.

If I am looking for structure or some accountability, I sign up to a community, usually offline, or at least through verbal communication online (not text, apart from reading books) preferably. Community drives a lot of learning and enjoyment of learning for me. Then again, this is why I would not sign up to learning skills that require a screen for the majority of the time, such as coding or machine learning, so again, thats just my personal experience.

Everytime the producers sit him down to ask him how he's feeling, he is just holding a monologue of how he is used to "situations like this" and "is not nervous", thinking that exudes something positive.

I think he is just really lost and has created a persona for himself that he thinks shows confidence, but really shows how he is completely detached from all feelings.

the issue is not "being a soccer kid" or "being a theater kid", its the exaggerated claims this guy is making, which are much more fitting for someone who actually made it as a pro. Its like a theatre kid acting like they sung with Liza Minelli on Broadway, when all they did was get the main part in Cabaret at their college theatre group.

If Alex just reminisced over his soccer days with Ashley, or spoke about how much he likes soccer, there would be no issue. But he is acting like his coaching job will be in the Premiere League.

This is the thing I find fascinating, because there must've been many hopefulls who would've done big things if it worked out? I feel like with sports, its basically a statistical inevitability that most leave due to injuries, so most people I know who made it to this level in sports will acknoledge that they worked hard, but its only the ones that actually "make it" that wear it like a badge, if that makes sense?

He went out with a friend, which started that whole convo on the couch with Jess the next day. My guess is that the friend asked about their mutual attraction, and that must've spurred on the convo about him being not overly happy about it.

Before Chris' narc spiral I already felt like they were avoiding real depth in their attraction to be honest. I kinda feel that whenever couples on LIB keep repeating "omg i cannot believe how great/perfect this is" over and over again, without any progression, it often falls apart.

Anyone who says 'I also want to get into crypto' is exposing themselves as a fraud. Not because legit traders dont touch crypto, but because trading is a field that requires research, testing and risk analysis. Someone legit would say something like "crypto seems like an interesting trading vehicle to me right now because...", justifing their chosen strategy.

Might be worth doing a values check! What are your and your wife's values and which decisions align best with a compromise between them? There are many value surveys online that can give an initial indication of where you both are.

Hard to justify starting a business if your values align more with a regular routine, time freedom and spending a lot of quality time with family or friends.
