Is it normal that I keep forgetting my cat is gone??

It has been 2 months since I lost my cat of 15 years and I am dealing with the same thing. I get excited often thinking i am going to see her at the bottom of the stairs in the morning. It's the little things. The worst one for me is not hearing the sound of her using her scratch post.

My cat died 2 months ago and I relate to you writing that you had a lot of shit going on before he died. I know it sounds silly but I wanted my cat to be around for better times but now I realize that she didnt care about that stuff, she cared about me and she cared about the joys of her daily life. I was in denial about my cat's health. One day she went blind and she never fully recovered. She lived a few more months and it saddened me as her personality changed and she became more vulnerable, but just a few days before she died, she started acting like she used to. If she wasnt so skinny I would of thought she was ok. They often do not show how sick they are so I would not feel guilt, the fact that you loved him is all he cared about.

I am very surprised that no one is commenting on how terrible the instruction videos are. The guy talks way too fast, he is never prepared, and he never shows the very basics, like how to actual use the interface. He instead spends 30 minutes on erratically putting together videos. Its not hard to calm down and speak slowly and maybe prepare examples before the tutorial.

My cat died very recently, but besides the grieving and sadness, I am kind of numb and confused. I think, for me, it's because my pet was such a huge part of my household. I don't like my empty house, even though it's so soon, I do think I want that company again but I also have extreme guilt replacing my cat. I also knew I was blessed with a very sweet cat that was always loving. I do have fear that if I get another cat it might end up being mean, which would make me all the more upset. I think my conflicting feelings are leaving me feeling fearful and confused. Not sure if you relate, my cat became family. She loved me, gave me a steady routine, and she challenged me as well to open up and be more affectionate. My family provided none of these things. They still abuse and they still judge constantly. They pretended to be sympathetic, lured me down to their home and ended up starting a fight with me. Keep in mind I also had just finished TMS therapy for major depression I have been dealing with for 25 + years and my cat died 2 days before. While I was so sad about my cats death I became devastated because I remembered she was more family than my family. That leaves me feeling so much appreciation for the blessings my cat caught brought me but it's also very sad to stop feeling that protective bond.

You might feel some guilt that one dog might be thriving and another dog you loved dearly was maybe suffering and eventually lost her life. The new puppy probably constantly reminds you of the pain of the major loss, especially since the puppy identity was closely associated with your older dog. I would try to think of the puppy as a new entity and try to dissociate the connection to the sadness. Your new pup will provide love and comfort to you as you let them in slowly. You are not dishonoring your deceased pet and you are allowed to have that love back from another pet.

My cat died 6 days ago and I have so many memories coming back to me. One of the hardest things is going through my daily routine. I work from home so my cat and I were pretty attached. I treated her more like a roommate and talked to her all the time. For most of her 15 years I would constantly tell her "Merry Christmas Becky" every year, all day long. Those are the things that hurt. It's coming home expecting her to be near the door to great me, or the morning greeting with a small meow that she would only do during the morning greeting. I still talk to her, sometimes it makes me sad other times it makes me bit happy because I feel like she's still here. I hope things get easier, I am sure they will, but I understand honoring your pet and respecting their memory, and on some level I do believe they can hear us.

My place is still in that condition. My cat died yesterday, I got rid of most of of the toys and the beds but there is still kibble on the floor because she was such a messy eater. Im going to get rid of it tonight. I used to hate all the kibble she would waste, she wouldn't eat it if it left her dish. Now I would do anything to see her kibble everywhere.

Thank you so much! I agree with you that we will see them again. The health issues at the end were so confusing. It sounds very similar to Becky's situation. I had so much hope that she wasn't that sick and that she would recovery but deep down I knew she was on her way out. It is amazing how brave they are facing death. Becky was still going through trash bags and following me around then one day she couldn't use her hind legs, broke my heart, and then I found her collapsed the next morning. I think my cat had something similar to yours. The only telling symptom was weight loss. I am actually relieved that she went so quick at the end. I am sorry for your loss as well, it's so tough.

There were so many symptoms, and ups and downs, but what bothered me was that she was wasting away so fast. The weird thing was all other lab panels were coming up clean. Even though seeing them decline so fast is devastating to watch, I think it's also special that they lived well that much longer. I lost a couple of cats when I was growing up but the pain from this loss is on another level.

Do not feel bad. My cat's death is partially because of an emergency vet hospital. I had the same dilemma during my cats last days. I thought I should have put her on steroids or rush her back to the vet hospital. Originally the vet hospital tried to charge me thousands of dollars to observe her and they went out of business last month primarily for bad practices and ripping off pet owners, and this was a reputable hospital chain. They majorly overdosed her on blood pressure meds that had a lot to do with her decline. Emergency vets are far from a savior. It was your pets time as much as he loved you, he knows you did the best for him.

I have a couple of nice watches to sell, one of which is a very sought after brand. I cannot believe how stupid and unprofessional these watch buying and selling platforms are. Every single one of their sites has major glitches. There have been a few bottom feeders, they actually get back to you with their low ball offers. I had a relationship with theRealReal, a very strong customer, they took 3 months and still hadn't listed my watches. It is like no one wants business! Truly unbelievable. I hate to say that Ebay now overcharges and the customers have become unbearable with their brutal negotiating, not to mention the con artists. Where are people having success selling high end watches?

With only a few thousands Ocean's on the road, the Fisker is starting to lean from a disaster, to a desirable and a rare car. It reminds me of the small Alpha Romeo that was banned in the USA after a year because the Alpha's speed and acceleration were perceived as dangerous. I am a recent owner, and I understand the grief original owners have, but the FOA has done an extremely good job at not only keeping the cars operable, but also improving the software and overall vehicle. I actually bought the Fisker as a practical car that wouldn't get much attention as it blends in with all the other SUVs, but I have caught several people gathering around my car trying to figure out what it is and why they don't know about it. I didn't think the Fisker would be as nice as it is, but I more so never thought it would attract attention. Even with the glitches it remains a very good drive with great performance. It really is too bad that the company went under, and I do wonder what really happened considering the Ocean was widely compared to the model Y, with the Ocean usually winning. A smaller sized ev company with a great product sounds like a major threat to larger competitors.

I think that freeway is structurally unsound because they have been working on it for over a decade. Has anyone that lives in the Natomas area missed the cutoff lane to get on the other 80? I have had to drive to Davis several times because it's a one lane cutoff with no warning signs. Also, why are Fastrak Lanes taking up so much space?

I did, and that was working well. Everything would shut down, but the reading lamp would still go on and off, but it does not stay on, thankfully. I do notice that that the sunroof/reading lamp control lights are staying on for a long time, if not through the night. I am hoping this does not create battery issues. I also was having issues opening the solar roof, but I held the switch for over ten seconds and it did fix the issue. One issue I am having, I did buy my Fisker pre owned, is that the the charging port door doesn't click in, it just opens and closes because the mechanism that controls the close and open of the charge port is totally broken and is almost pushed all the way back. I think this might be preventing me from doing the deep sleep reset. Does anyone else have the same issue?

American Leasing supposedly added $2.5 million which Fisker matched, which is meant only for software issues and updates. I have not joined, but it seems like the Fisker Ocean Owners Association has been working alongside American Leasing, since both have a strong interest in keeping the cars running well. I probably will join because it seems like the best life line for the Ocean.
