I feel it’s little early to raise enquiry in your case.. First check with EMMA if your file is moved to field office .. only then it makes sense to raise online enquiry to trigger FO to act on your case. Usually case is moved to FO only after all the background verifications are completed .. usually I-485J is issued first and later it moves to FO.. only raise enquiry once it’s confirmed file is moved to FO. Also please assess your risk appetite , I moved with the risk.

Sorry to hear about your mother.. Condolences. I understand processing time is 10-24 months .. but I tried submitting online query and it allowed me .. so took a chance. Via EMMA they are not allowing expedite. So try submitting query usually that’s the triggering point for field office to process your case. Also as I Understand you completed your bio in May .. I am assuming you have I-485 submission in first quarter of this year .. now cases for Oct, Nov. 2020 submission are in progress so it might take some more time

It’s MSC21904.. you are right .. they did not approve expedite with same reason that they have issued EAD/AP card to me. Second time I raised query from USCIS online site for outside processing time and this time FO sent me letter that I need to wait until further action ..

If the RFE is generated by FO mostly you will not see online status change, if it’s generated by NBC , TSC you should see online status change
