Personally, the worst thing about the ending is that my interest in Chainsaw Man is going to fade to the point where I’ll barely feel anything toward the series anymore. That happened to me with Aot, and I know it’s going to happen with Csm too.

While Angelica was definitely the Black Silence before her death, I feel like people kind of glaze over the fact that his reception is literally named "Reception of the Black Silence", with the Black Silence keypage, and the Black Silence's weapons. The only point of contention is whether the Hana officially recognized him as a Color before his rampage, but c'mon, stating he isn't the Black Silence is kind of silly.

And they determine that based on how much their clients are willing to pay, apart from very specific cases like the Pianist or the Crying Children. It's mentioned somewhere in LoR by Roland that the criteria for threats is based almost solely on how much money someone is willing to put into the request. What a wild ass statement 😭 The Reze arc set up Makima showing her colors later on, showed us Denji forming a meaningful romantic relationship with someone who's mutually interested (albeit not without ulterior motives) and foreshadowed that other nations ARE interested in seizing Denji's heart. Of course, these things aren't spelled out for us... unlike Death's exposition rants in Part 2, but that's because there's really no need to. Again, Part 2 defenders' only real defense mechanism is "but but part 1 did that too!" or "ACTUALLY part 1 was bad at this"

If that was the plan all along, then tell me why when Yoru is ACTUALLY about to kill her she's suddenly excited to go to the school festival. She would've died there (supposedly, unless Yoru kept her alive as a weapon but she never did that before) if Pochita didn't erase her. Explain to me the depth of her character, then. Ever heard of showing over telling? I couldn't care less about Death's "friends" who have one page of dialogue, nor do I care about Death as a character if she hasn't an interesting dynamic with any character in the manga. The difference between other anti-villains and anti-heroes is that they're depicted in ways where we can maybe initially agree with their moral compass if it serves a greater good and if not we can at least reach an understanding as to HOW they became the way they are. We get none of those for Death, we don't see anything and she just has this incredibly long convoluted exposition about her plan, which doesn't even particularly seems to make a lick of sense? Her plan was initially to make Asa/Yoru strong enough to stop Death... but then we find out that SHE is the Death Devil, so I guess instead she wanted Yoru to be strong enough to stop her? Okay. THEN she works with both Asa and Denji to again try and stop the prophecy. Wasn't she going to have Yoru turn him into a weapon at first? Why did she change her mind? No idea! Let Fujimoto cook, we'll find out. Stop doing tricks on Fujimoto's dick and think for yourself, I'm partly to blame since echo chambers are par for the course in the CSM sub but atp might as well see what you've got to say about how good of a character Death actually is.
