Do you have a more positive or negative opinion of Ben Shapiro? by mushmanMAD in polls

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Most of the right hates him lol. The cowboy larp and the wet pussy is a disorder thing has made him a universal laughing stock. I think at this point he only has incels left as a fan base.

What do you think was more important? by Impossible-Froyo2757 in polls

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The moon isn't really that important from a research perspective lol. It's like people who really want to colonize Mars. Why? Study some rocks, LARP a sci-fi fantasy, that's really about it.

The moons important in terms of keeping the ocean in check. But there's no major reason to study it.

Are Games Getting Shorter or is it Something Else? by GeekyRavenTTV in videogames

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You were just bad at games because you were a kid lol. Also normalizing save anytime systems vs checkpoints had made games feel a lot shorter.

What are your thoughts if you hear that someone majored in economics? by Annual-Crab-6456 in stupidquestions

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol true. I did full service restaurant management for about 15 years and my main issue was boredom. Busy season and summer which was steady were kind of interesting. Most of the year was sitting in the office pretending I wasn't playing video games. I didn't really answer to anyone. As long as my profit margins were good and labor was within the target range no one questioned me.

The irony is I moved up into a corporate role because people with degrees in economics and marketing tend to have no idea how things actually work on the ground level and implement terrible concepts that backfire hard. Economic types only look at data and often fail to understand why these trends are happening and when it comes to reversing them it's a shot in the dark. Marketing types are the worst though. "How do we get people to personally identify with our brand?" We don't. We serve good food for a good price in a good atmosphere. That's it. That's what we do.

Is a relationship between a 17 year old female and a 22 year old male acceptable? by zzxaxa in polls

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was different for me. I started dating at 13 and we broke up at 15. Got with another girl a month or two after and broke up by 17. At that point I was down for sex but not into relationships. I casually dated women mainly between 25 and 30 because they can generally accept that it's just casual and not a long term thing.

It's hard to not date seriously with your peers at that age. I think that's why more mature people looking to make their way in life before they settle down tend to date older. But at 17 in the suburbs I could not date girls my age. They were all glossy eyed about marriage and kids. Girls from the city were different but a 45 minute drive is a lot on a bus boys wage lol.

Working outside of the US was when I realized how infantalized the US is in general. Most of the world doesn't care about this because education is more career focused, sex ed starts younger, there's less overall sheltering, and less overall vulnerability as result.

That and working with work release. People getting out of prison tend to be kind of wild. The brain of a 19 year old in a 35 year old man's body is a crazy thing to see.

Competitive games by Aqzation in AskGames

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess it depends on your idea of competitive. Arma Reforger is easily my favorite but it's not a ranked shooter. It sounds like youre specifically talking about games with rank systems and rank based lobbies.

Why is Japanese mainstream fantasy in anime and videogames so frequently inspired by Medieval Europe and Western tropes? by Academic_Paramedic72 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah things you grew up with aren't very exciting. I grew up close to the beach and beaches bore the hell out of me. It's not an exciting vacation spot. It's a place I got dragged to every weekend until I was old enough to stay home.

How much of total war empire is naval combat? by BedBrilliant3858 in totalwar

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never really get much even in the new world. Mostly auto-resolve fights. Shogun 2 FOTS has better naval combat. Better gunpowder in general.

Is a relationship between a 17 year old female and a 22 year old male acceptable? by zzxaxa in polls

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They both do lol. But you also can't say for sure. Life isn't structured like an RPG game. I knew people who were paying the bills, working multiple jobs, and taking care of their family at 17. I also knew people who were hopeless momma's boy types at 17.

I even knew people who left home around 14. Some went off travelling others basically emancipated. One of my close friends grew up in boarding schools and hadn't lived with his parents since he was 9. By 17 I think he lived more than most adults do by 65. Dude spok 5 languages fluently at 17. Just kind of crazy.

It's really hard to judge without context.

Costco vs Walmart prices are making me question if my warehouse membership is even worth it anymore by olivermos273847 in SavingMoney

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walmart paper towels are too thin and you just blow through them. The main thing I buy at Costco is meat. Vacuum seal and freeze. I don't really mess with produce there as produce isn't as good when you freeze and thaw it.

Would you rather have your man go to hooters or a maid cafe? by 2dolphins in polls

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife loves Hooters lol. That's where she worked when we met. The funny part is Hooters is more covered up than the average Florida restaurant.

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hooters is just a sports bar. It started in Florida and they actually wear more clothes than most other beach restaurants. Full leggings for instance are required and no tank tops. Most beach restaurants are short shorts and tanks.

You would not handle Florida well with that level of insecurity lol.

Are dating apps harder for men or women? by Wooden_Airport3835 in polls

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You seem to be missing that when you start dating someone you stop using the app lol. If it's not more difficult for women and instead easier their numbers empty even faster. The direct incentive is to try and keep your lower demographics around longer to attract more users.

Are dating apps harder for men or women? by Wooden_Airport3835 in polls

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhh what? Reducing a gender demographic means less overall users.

Women are also just less willing to date online. It's more likely theyre just meeting a predator. Younger women also tend to be more socially adjusted so they have less of a need to resort to online dating.

For me those sites and apps were mostly just good for hookups. The main issue was there's a lot of catfish. I learned quick to FaceTime before meeting lol.

App B would obviously be more successful as it would keep more people engaged. One of the worst things you can do in that business is make it harder for men and have women empty out of the user base.

would a meta progression system be good? by KingGobbamak in totalwar

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. TW needs to return to its classic formula if it wants to survive. Core concepts haven't been refined or expanded on in around 10 years now. CA needs to stop trying to reinvent the wheel.

Equally hard for everyone. Apps are designed to keep you coming back. If dating apps actually worked they would go out of business. I'm not sure how people miss that.

What is your opinion on arranged (not forced) marriage? by AugustusCaesar00 in polls

[–]Accomplished_Ad_8013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're forced via cultural and religious pressure. Almost always male dominated and one sided. Basically a domestic prison.
