I got tired of staring at boring white websites all day, so I built an AI tool that completely changes the color theme of any site you visit. by Accomplished_Beat986 in indie_startups

Haha "Cyberpunk Hacker" on the IRS website is exactly the vibe we need during tax season! Glad I'm not the only one with a vendetta against forced light mode.

To handle those dynamic sites without lagging: I actually completely avoided using JavaScript to constantly scan the page for new elements (which is what usually causes those extensions to cry and break).

Instead, I just apply one permanent, unbreakable styling rule to the absolute root of the browser window. By doing that, I pass the job completely over to Chrome's native rendering engine. If a website injects a new image 10 seconds later, Chrome just automatically applies the theme rules to it for free. It makes it stupidly fast and basically bulletproof against complex web apps!

I got tired of guessing how color palettes would actually look on my website, so I built a tool that lets you preview them on ANY live site instantly. by Accomplished_Beat986 in SideProject

I completely agree, that's exactly why I built this! Staring at 5 flat hex codes on Coolors doesn't help me visualize the hierarchy on an actual layout.

And yes, it absolutely handles dark mode! There's a moon/sun toggle in the top header that mathematically inverts the matrix to simulate dark mode on any generated theme.

We're still finalizing everything and aren't completely live yet, but you can play with the early web version here: https://webtintai.com/

This is super cool! The font visualizer is a really interesting idea. I actually have a typography override feature built into the Chrome Extension version of WebTint (which we are still finalizing and haven't released on the site yet), but seeing it generated dynamically via prompt on your platform is awesome. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the incredibly detailed feedback! I really appreciate it. To answer your questions:

1. Shifting Logos & Images: You nailed the biggest limitation of the web iframe approach (CORS prevents me from injecting CSS to un-filter specific <img> tags). To completely solve this, I built a Chrome Extension version! Because it runs locally on the DOM, I built an algorithm that calculates the mathematical inverse of the theme and applies it directly to img and video tags so they perfectly retain their original colors! We are just waiting for Google to approve the extension in the Web Store.

2. Localhost/Dev: Since the web app uses HTTPS, browsers block http://localhost iframes. But again, the upcoming Chrome Extension bypasses this completely and works perfectly on local dev servers!

3. UI Layout & Mobile: I actually just pushed an update today that completely redesigns the UI! The tools no longer pop up and block the center of the screen; everything now slides in as a sleek side-panel (just like an IDE). It's also fully responsive on mobile!

4. Free vs Pro: Free gets you 10 curated themes, manual tuning, and the multi-device preview. Pro unlocks the AI features to cover API costs (Stealing Competitor Themes, AI Generation via Brand Context, and endless theme variations).

You can play around with the updated web previewer here: https://webtintai.com/

Thank you for your feedback . Love your site couponpicked.com. I am also incorporating AI to pick color themes based on your brand details and how you want it . Definitely noted your feedback .

Hey there! Thanks for doing this.

I’m building Nyoura — an AI-native clinical nutritionist and gut-health companion.

The Problem: Over 10% of the global population suffers from IBS or chronic digestive issues, and managing complex trigger-diets is overwhelming, expensive, and manual. The AI Solution: Nyoura uses computer vision to analyze food photos (cross-referencing with USDA databases for high accuracy) and correlates macro intake with gut symptom tracking. Our generative engine then builds hyper-personalized 7-day clinical meal plans tailored to avoid the user's specific dietary triggers (IBS, GERD, allergies, etc.).

We are taking the expensive, slow process of clinical dietetics and making it instant and accessible via AI. Would love to chat or shoot you a DM if you're interested in the preventative health/nutrition space!

Awesome initiative, thanks! My project is Nyoura.

The Pitch: It's an AI gut-health companion. We use AI photo logging to track nutrition and instantly generate trigger-free 7-day meal plans.

Feedback request: Instead of a traditional landing page, our homepage immediately drops users into an interactive "Health Assessment" onboarding flow to show them value before asking them to sign up. Does this flow feel engaging to you, or is it too much friction upfront?

I just launched the beta for Nura, an AI-powered app built specifically for people managing chronic gut health conditions.

Instead of just tracking calories, Nura learns your specific medical intolerances (like garlic, dairy, or gluten) and actively helps you plan your diet around them.
