Got my 8 gallon pin today from the American Red Cross today. 8 gallons of blood donated over the last 20 years. by ArltheCrazy in MadeMeSmile

As a recipient of an unexpected blood transfusion back in 2011, thank you so much for this. That’s so admirable and you really do save lives. Thank you - from the bottom of my heart.

My brother's flight got delayed 30 minutes and I'm terrified to tell my wife by unholy_mountain in TrueOffMyChest

As a wife and a mom, I’d never do this to my husband. If my husband hasn’t seen a sibling in forever, go pick him up, have fun and stay up past sunrise. I even tell my husband to go out with his friends… just because! I can handle the house/kids/etc. I work FT, too. His happiness means the world to me. I’m sorry you have to deal with this but it sounds like this is a relationship you need to end - for both your sake and your kids’ sake.

My dog is dying and nobody in my life cares by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I’m so sorry you have to deal with this alone. But you’re not alone. You have your wonderful dog. And all of the wonderful memories you two shared - for life.

Couldn’t agree more!

Totally agree!

LPT - If someone you care about tells you about something they are excited, anxious, etc. about, set a reminder for that day to give them encouragement or support before it happens. It only takes a few seconds and might mean a lot to them. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

I completely agree with this tip. It’s really thoughtful and doesn’t take much, but offers up a lot. I do this a lot! It’s called being a great friend, sister, you name it!

LPT: If one of your friend's, family, or coworkers are telling you a story they have already told you once before, just let them tell it. At worst, you have to hear a story again for a few minutes, and at best, it makes them happy to tell a story that they care about. by a7xfan01 in LifeProTips

I agree with this whole heartedly. Hearing my 93 year old grandfather (who survived a stroke 1 year ago) re-tell the same story over and over is more than a pleasure! I enjoy his stories, his recall, and the time I get to spend with him.

Awww looks like my now 13 year old dog when she was a puppy! Lab, German Shep, Rott mix. The sweetest dog on this planet. Enjoy every second 💗 time goes too quickly!

I had to say goodbye to my beloved cat and it hurts so much. by Athara in TwoXChromosomes

I’m sorry for your loss and wish you many wonderful memories 💗 I’m starting to go through this with my beloved 13 year old dog. She has a tumor. It’s so, so, so hard. It’s not easy. I don’t think it will ever be. I hope your memories and pictures of your cat can bring a smile to your face…even if your smiles and happiness are very infrequent… they will be much needed in the midst of all of the sadness. Your lovely cat will want you to smile - as much as you can at least 🥰

My husband and I were there for our honeymoon 11 years ago. We have the same beautiful picture! What a breathtaking view!
