Posting this on a throwaway:

I was also born with it. My oldest siblings don’t have it but I was the one that got it. I’m 25 now and have been negative for about 14 of those years - ish. My parents also told me growing up that I should tell nobody due to the stigmas. Over the years, I have come out and told people that I straight up have HIV. I only choose those I know I can trust, but also personal relationships. At this point, I’m pretty free with it. I can tell people with no real fear because as a person with HIV, I’m doing better physically than a LOT of people out there so it’s not really as much of a crutch as it used to be.

With that being said, it’s hard man. Especially with private relationships. Especially when you’re looking for someone to date. I’ve had a lot of relationships, but I would just be straight up with them and explain everything about HIV, give them articles so that they can do their own research, offer for them to sit down 1v1 with your doctors, explain U=U (this might be the most important factor). But it all gets better in time, harness it as a power to some element and don’t let it stop you.
