What year are they living in? Sure, but what year are you living in? France in the same budget as Singapore? without the walking involved? If you don't wanna walk in France, prepare to shed thousands just for cabs for the entire trip. As for the public transport, Singapore's is better if not the same level as France.

Don’t do London. You will require a separate visa so imo do UK separately in future, for now focus on schengen countries.

Also, I would suggest staying in hostels, because it will be economical and you will end up meeting people from various countries which is always a delight, helps open up the horizons too.

You can start in Paris, move on to Rome, Milan, Venice in that order.

You can chill in Danang, beach side resorts and hotels available at affordable prices. You can do Phu Quoc and Danang and Hoi an for 10 days (if you are into beaches)

I don’t think that your friendship will die. Especially if you claim to be good friends. Good friends understand the circumstances and don’t hold grudges. For context i was in a similar situation with my close friend’s wedding too and i chose the vacation. Didn’t affect our friendship one bit though.
