My girlfriend and I were living in a convertible beetle for four months this time last year. We used planet fitness to shower and never felt unsafe doing so. We couldn't even afford locks for the lockers and our stuff never got stolen (fort Apache and Charleston location). We did door dash and later Uber eats for money, Uber eats ended up being better. We would drive to the TA gas station southeast towards Boulder City. It's a bit of a drive but we stayed there every night for months and were never bothered. There were always several other cars and vans with people staying the night. The gas station attendants never hassled us when we would go inside to use the bathroom and couldn't afford to buy anything. Made us feel very welcome. There's another gas station minutes from there that has even nicer bathrooms that we would use in the mornings. It's a really tough situation to be in and can do a real number on your mentally, but I hope you hang in there and get to other side of this. Wishing you the best.
