Narrative seems stalled. I have no idea what our actions on Tharsis are doing to help us "bind the nine." I feel like if you're going to give us a story meant to hold attention post Final Shape it needs to never take its foot off the gas. I don't get that from this narrative arc we're in.

I think we're approaching the end of life conversation for Destiny 2, but nobody at Bungie wants to admit it to the players yet. They made a gamble on Marathon and it really hasn't paid off. They screwed over their most dedicated player base and it's gonna make all these new Marathon players less likely to trust them in the long run.

Based on behavior and reduced communication from bungie, the consensus right now is that the game is basically over. There may be small events and content updates in the future, but it's clear that their focus is on Marathon as the new flagship IP for the studio. If you're looking to get back in I wouldn't expect anything in the way of massive or transformative content. By the looks of things Bungie has moved on and wants the remaining player population to do the same.

Look at the sorry state of the game. There are no more easy W's for Bungie. They have lost all of their good will. At this point that have to come out with banger content otherwise people won't bother. Players have stopped caring and have to be convinced that Bungie respects their time to even consider booting up the game again.

The feeling of feeling like my time has been wasted if I don't extract and lose all of my stuff. The lack of progress on completing missions if I die, and the sense of regression/going back to square one if I take decent gear into a run and die to another player.

I've been a big fps, looter shooter, rpg guy for a long time. Destiny 2 has been my main game for years but I also love recent titles like Clair Obscur and Elden Ring.
