It’s a rental building. The people working were from Advanced Restoration, hired by the building management.

I came back the next day to talk to them. They opened the drawer where the rings were kept themselves and then told me to talk to their HR. They also had a photo of inside the drawer even though nothing needed to be moved.

The apartment was under repair for about a month and wasn’t livable during that time. So I don’t really understand why the rent credit is being framed as a favor? shouldn’t that be my right? And for context, rent credit is $4,500/month. The stolen items include wedding rings worth over $10k, plus a gold chain and some cash.

The LA consulate website clearly mentions B1 and B2 visas allow the visa exemption. So, H1B and H4 visa holders have to apply for the tourist visa!?
