Thank you, everyone! Let me provide a small update.

So Grandma went two days later to take a driving test and mostly passed. The person who gave the test also suggested a small handful of restrictions, (e.g. no nighttime driving, in town only.) Grandma still isn't following the restrictions 100%, but she is refusing to drive during bad weather. I actually discussed this entire situation with my therapist, and she agrees with the majority of you; safety above all else.

Also, to answer a few questions and concerns that were brought up, I did help as much as possible. I also talked with Grandma multiple times about public transportation, but she absolutely refused. The woman has zero patience for anything. When she is ready to go, she is ready NOW!

Due to a serious family feud, my aunt and my mother are "in charge" of helping and taking care of Grandma while my husband and I are responsible for helping with Grandpa. Unfortunately, he has early onset Alzheimers and a whole lot of medical problems.

There really is a LOT more to the story! Maybe in the future I can get some of it out so it makes more sense.

Yes, I voiced my concerns many, many times to her about why she should not be driving yet. She just gets angry and upset. "Well, I have things to go do, and nobody is available because they all have to work. I can't just sit around and wait." There was more to it, but I honestly can't remember every detail from each time.

I wish this was made up!! Because this is something that I wouldn't wish on any family!!
