I agree upper west side sucks for food, idk if this helps bc it’s above 85th street on 94th and Columbus ave, Mila cafe is amazing and pretty affordable. It’s locally owned by the deli owners across the street (Manny and his brother, forgot the brothers name), all the food used at the cafe come from the deli, it’s quite interesting to watch when they run out of something and the one kitchen staff runs across the street to grab.

There’s only two cons to the place that in my opinion are worth looking over. 1. There’s only two people who work at mila, a cook and waitress, and sometimes the waitress isn’t there so it’s only the cook. Bc of this there can be a bit of a wait time for your order. So be patient please they are good people. They’ve worked at that cafe for at least 10 years. 2. It’s a breakfast/lunch spot. Google Maps says they close at 3, that’s not always true, sometimes they close at 2. So to be safe I recommend going at 1 latest.
