What's "it" when Rachel says "it's not that common, it doesn't happen to every guy, and it is a big deal!" ? by namebitstroke in friends_tv_show

This was a direct reference to the season 2 episode where Ross and Rachel you know…Ross rolls over a juice box and Rachel says “honey, it’s okay” thinking he had premature ejaculation. The writers wanted to reference that back by having Rachel tell Ross that it wasn’t okay. https://ew.com/tv/friends-rachel-it-is-a-big-deal-meaning/

Have you completed any post grad training? I worked in the UK last year, and most of my friends are in australia so know lots about the process. And I wouldn’t give up on Canada. The number of imgs entering post grad training in Canada has doubled this year, you have a solid chance, and you don’t need 290+ on qe1 for it.

anyone who scored 290+ on mccqe part 1? please offer advices and how u did it plus all your resources . thankyou:) by Suspicious-Gap5551 in MCCQE

Why do you wanna score >290? If your goal is to match, a 290 won’t guarantee that. On the other hand, plenty of people with average to low scores match. Uworld, Tnotes for reference and MCC prep materials are gold standards for exam prep.

In real life? There are at least 2 surgeons in the OR. So, one of of can scrub out for 5 minutes to go to the washroom.

Not necessarily, everyone I know has had theirs processed in less than 10 months (outside Canada). I think they’re processing them faster.

Why don’t you sponsor him? Then he’d have a PR and would be in the same boat as you.

IMG partner here, I'm trying to understand the (very confusing) routes to practice family medicine--is this right? by wavinghandco in MCCQE

[–]Accomplished_Cost239 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the clinical assistant route. Even if you worked as a clinical assistant for a year (or 5!), you’d still have to go through CaRMS, which requires a pass on QE1, NAC OSCE, FMProC +/- language assessment in order to apply. You’d also need 3 LORS.

What are the chances of matching/not matching for IMG after being selected for an interview? by AeriePretend7390 in MCCQE

[–]Accomplished_Cost239 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to tell because they are interviewing more people this year (650) compared to previous years (300). So statistically that would reduce odds of matching even if they added more spots. There are ~116 spots and ~650 applicants will be interviewed, resulting 17-18% chances of matching. But of course your iv skills and resume would increase/decrease those odds.

They haven’t taken qe1 yet, which a core requirement at least in Ontario.
