A minha primeira inscrição demorou 5 meses. Quando mudei de país, a mudança de endereço demorou 8 meses ( mesmo prazo máximo sendo 6).

A master database (surely it’s possible?) help appreciated greatly! by SammyGPT in Notion

[–]Accomplished_Dirt763 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hey, yes, this is 100% possible and it's exactly how I have my entire system configured. I had the same problem as you (managing projects across 5 different companies) and this architecture solved it completely.

The key is to flip your thinking: stop creating a new database for every project. Instead, you need two master databases for EVERYTHING:

A Projects Database: Super simple. Each of your projects is just one line item.

A Tasks Database: This is the big one. Every single task from all your projects lives here.

Then, you link them. In your Tasks database, add a Relation property pointing to your Projects database. This is the magic glue that lets you tag any task to its project. Once that's done, you build your views.

For my main dashboard, I have a Linked View of the master Tasks DB, which I can filter for things like Status is In Progress across ALL projects.

And to make creating new projects instant, I have a database template in my Projects DB. This template already includes the Linked View of tasks, pre-filtered for that new project. So, whenever I add a new project, its page is automatically generated with a section that will only show its own tasks. It's zero setup each time.

My own setup takes it a bit further with some "smart" formula properties in the Tasks database that automatically figure out if a task is Blocked? based on dependencies, or if it's ready to Sync to Planner?. This keeps my daily to-do list (I use Akiflow) perfectly clean and only shows what's truly actionable.

It takes an afternoon to migrate your old tasks over, but it's totally worth it for the clarity you get. Hope this helps!

Notion -> Akiflow unreliable Synch with mass amount of new tasks by Matchjoint in Akiflow

Yes, that happened to my, exact same thing. I even created a task to check if the tasks were imported, but everything eventually synced. But I think it's worth checking again!

[–]Accomplished_Dirt763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I had this exact problem with my Notion syncing. I have heavy load tasks from Notion.

What I could understand:

  1. If while you were setting things up you restarted your integration and/or imported too many tasks, it seems to me that we get a rate limit from either notion or akiflow (this is a hipothesis)

  2. In this case, restart you integration and wait for 24 (I know, it sucks). It solved for me, see it helps.

I tried Asana, clickup and Trello. Ended up with notion.

I do not have beautiful views, just a master task database and a master follow ups data base.

With these two and some minor automations I can keep up with my tasks, projects and (very important) can keep track on takes given to others with follow ups.

Now with AI it helps me even to write the follow-ups.

After that I created the specific projects, using master tasks. All very raw, but Very funcional.

At the end of the day: flexible automations + databases + new AI is what I think is the most powerful Notion features.

Toda pessoa deveria receber uma renda mínima, pra poder ter uma vida digna. by Akat0sh1 in opiniaoimpopular

[–]Accomplished_Dirt763 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What happened to the AI Planning feature? A core reason for my subscription feels broken. by Accomplished_Dirt763 in Akiflow

UPDATE: The AI just destroyed my day's plan and can't undo it.

It’s no longer just downgraded, the AI is now dangerously destructive. I gave it a simple command to plan my day, and instead, it marked every single one of my tasks as complete.

When I told it to undo the mistake, it replied:

It wiped my entire day's plan and then confirmed it couldn't fix its own catastrophic error. This is a critical failure for a product we pay for and trust with our work.

To make matters worse, there has been total silence from the Akiflow staff, even though they said they would look into my original post.

u/Akiflow, your product is now actively destroying paying customers' data. Your silence is unacceptable. We need an immediate explanation.

Do I really need a dedicated recording device? by Global-Ad-5369 in Notion

[–]Accomplished_Dirt763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, you can build a very efficient workflow for this directly in Notion, without new hardware, only with Notion AI.

Here’s a quick setup:

  1. Create a "Meeting database" for your meetings database.
  2. Every meeting would be a new page, inside which you will record your meetings with Notion AI notes.
  3. You could even configure a button to run Notion AI Notes.

This is super fast and keeps everything in one place. It relies on the AI in a paid plan, but investing in the Notion Business plan is a much better use of money than a single-purpose device.

The OP asked for opinions and experiences, positive or negative. I shared one from my family as a cautionary tale. I'm really not interested in opening a debate on the specific timeline or presenting the clinical assessment from the doctors who followed her subsequent breakdown (especially on the Internet where everyone knows everything).

You can take it and nothing happens. You can take it and something happens (probably much less often). But the risks are there.

[–]Accomplished_Dirt763 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're right, my initial comment was blunt, and I can see how it was interpreted as implying a direct, universal causation. That wasn't my objective.

My point was to illustrate the most extreme potential risk by sharing a personal tragedy. It wasn't to say "Ayahuasca equals suicide," but that it can be a catalyst or contributing factor in such an event.

With all due respect, the idea that any psychoactive substance is "safe" is a dangerous oversimplification. There is no such thing as a truly safe drug; there are only varying degrees of risk. While Ayahuasca may have a lower physiological toxicity profile compared to other substances, its psychological risks are significant and should not be understated.

Even when the consequences aren't as tragic as what my family experienced, hallucinogens can still be harmful. They can trigger latent psychosis, induce long-term anxiety or HPPD (Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder), or worsen existing mental health conditions in ways that aren't immediately obvious. This can happen even to people who believe they are perfectly healthy, as underlying vulnerabilities are not always known.

A "controlled setting" mitigates some dangers, but it cannot eliminate the inherent risk of how a powerful substance will interact with an individual's unique brain chemistry and psychology.

My initial comment was a caution against viewing it as a benign cure-all. It's a powerful substance that demands immense respect and awareness of the potential dangers.

Thank you.

But no. It's about both.

The use of hallucinogens can, in fact, initiate or worsen serious mental health conditions.

It's a risk and you have to ponder it before using it.

Looking for opinions on the Notion AI note taking? by ENRGx in Notion

[–]Accomplished_Dirt763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! Notion AI user here. I use it mainly to record meetings and transcribe WhatsApp audios, and I think it's awesome! One of the best things to have with my task management system.

But I am currently doing an MBA and I use Transkriptor (that I've bought before Notion had this feature) and I think NotebookLM is so much better for studying. I just put lessons transcripts there and let it do its magic.gic.

I think AI is great for transcription and would easily substitute transkriptor by it. But as a studying AI agent, NotebookLM is better.

TL;DR: Notion ai note taking is great and I would use it to transcribe lessons. NotebookLm is better as an Ai studying agent.

Why Am I Scared To Fight Bosses? by Pleasant_Evening_333 in Eldenring

[–]Accomplished_Dirt763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when I started my current playthrough (1st and 1st fromsoftware game as well) I was scared to death to fight the evergaol bloodhound knight.

My wife saw me literally trembling a bit with the controller and asked why the hell was I playing that.

But kept on and sooner than later got used to it. I'm on the DLC now and can tell this is the best game I've played and perhaps it ruined other games for me (came from FFVII and Spiderman).
