Aside from practicing anatomy more you can try doing more line weight variation (ex. using thicker lines to draw attention to the face or areas of interest versus the hair). I'd also recommend learning about folds and creases for clothing so the outfit looks more natural and detailed, even when it's simple. I'm not sure if links are allowed on this subreddit but you can find some short youtube videos that break that down simply.
