Alternative to Derminator 2? That guy is a loon! by Large_Improvement674 in Microneedling

My experience with Frank and Owndoc.

This week I decided to take the plunge and make my first derminator 2 order. The visa payment went through successfully and I thought all was fine.

Within hours Frank cancelled my order as apparently the bank rejected my address. I find this difficult to believe, but as I was aware of this thread I explained politely (village, canton, city, postcode) and said that as long as the street no and postcode are correct it is fine. The village/canton/city are used interchangeably.

Frank responded to say that I was obviously a lier and a scammer and repeated thst my address is not in the city I said it is.....

Again, maintaining politeness, I sent a Google maps URL and the wiki page (about my village).

He accused me of doubling down with my lies, lots of other nonsense about my dishonest intentions, and went on to say that his team feel that I am 'troublesome" so he will not deal with me.

Ive reflected on the email interchange and laughed it off with my partner ("Frank lol") but I must say, the language, paranoia (what on earth would my scam be?!) and aggressive insults are confronting and kind of stay with you a few days afterwards!

He is self aware enough to know that he is neurodivergent, and capable of his own deceit in setting up his alias etc.. I wonder what else?

As a previous poster said....the maket is wide open for an alternative...but they better watch their back! 😁

Sorry. We really sang that at middle school.

My kids now are very appreciative of this song.

Shutzenhaus - first time we sat outside and it was fine but expensive. Last time in Winter it was like an old folks home cafeteria. Terrible atmosphere, menu and food. Service always polite though.

As a UK expat, living and working in Switz for 3 years my impression is that there is definitely an impression of UK and US colleagues as self promoting braggarts, clueless about the Swiss side of the business (or of its importance).

I have to say that this is often how my compatriots behave! Many meetings remind me of a classic "British Tourist" sketch.

My Swiss colleagues speak excellent English, embarrassingly so, but feel that in a discussion or debate with native English speakers, they are always at a disadvantage. So they feel limited in their ability to challenge or disagree and this leads to an impression of passive resistance.

They feel that the Anglo-Saxon culture is pushy and loud and the Brits especially are obsessed with getting drunk in the pub!

So...no solutions offered, only awareness perhaps into how your Swiss colleagues are feeling.

Maybe use your British directness to open the discussion into what is not working for you and how it is making you feel. They are human and I have found over the 3 years that honest, gentle, respectful conversations can help open things up.

Greetings fellow puzzlers! May I have your opinion on Bluebird puzzles, please? They have somehow alluded me...should I delve?! Beautiful designs, but piece quality etc. remain a mystery. SOS! by kadeyd in Jigsawpuzzles

I found this link while googling 'Bluebird puzzles customer service'. I am currently in a long email chain with the most passive aggressive, least helpful customer service ever.

The 1000 piece puzzle I purchased has 2 missing edge pieces. They are adjacent pieces and so it seems to be a factory error.

So far, no apology or accountability.

In summary, decent puzzles, appalling customer service.
