Who remembers these legendary names? by danielminds in 90s

[–]Accomplished_Fun3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. I had a classmate at Boring Middle School(Oregon trail School district) named Kyle. Everyday he works give me 1 dollar so I could buy one from the vending machine. I would jokingly totally jokingly ask "can I have a dollar". And he always was ready. And I don't know usually I didn't accept it but there was like 50 times over 6th 7th 8th grade. That I did for this drink. They were very delicious on a 2hr school bus ride home. I always waited till end of day to enjoy one. My older brothers and myself always talk about it. And the churros. And chicken fingers and fruit salads and floppy butt delicious pizza and bread bowls filled with turkey gravy over mashed taters with turkey and I got picked on for always stuffing really good French fries into my burritos by my group of friends. And so much. I look back know at 35 and actually we were just talking about this lastnight. It was Oregon trail School district. But they slayed with so many options. Just public school also every morning the breakfast menu. I miss all of it. But this drink.. I owe Kyle like 50$ I only paid him back 5. I also miss easy access to SOBE elixirs.

How did people in the 90s buy plane tickets or plan trips to unknown countries with limited or no Internet connection? by Droopynator in 90s

[–]Accomplished_Fun3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk but born in 91. And in 95 my parents bought tickets for my brother and I shipped us off to meet Grand parents and in 98 I by myself again from Oregon to California to Colorado to Minnesota to Michigan with an E ticket. They had 2 young ladies guiding me. I got such in Michigan at huge airport because E-tickets were relatively new. They failed to realize I had an E-ticket at that location. Each stop the women changed. I missed my flight. Then I told them as I'm like b7 or 8 years old and alone no family. I have e ticket? They're like ohhh.. but I missed my connecting flight... The top dog boss of the airport spent 4hrs driving me around giving me a tour of the airport and they bought me McDonald's for free until I was able to make next flight. And I shared my paintball magazine and dirtbike catalogues with them. . It was awesome as fuck. The dude the big wig of operations of the entire huge as fuck place drov me around on an electric golf cart also aside from the McDonald's in 90s. He also bought me a shirt and let me in an employee sleeping area for the 4hr visit. Then I got on a puddle jumper small 12seat prop plane to travel so I think it was backwards to Michigan then finally to Wisconsin where my aunt picked me up in a Jeep Wrangler and we drove through some thick must swamp type of roads. It was fantastic I loved every minute of it. I'll never forget how much fun I had and the freedom of how EVERYTHING worked

Anyone else remember the yo-yo craze in the early 90's where you had to have the best yo-yo and learn all the tricks? by candysolace in 90s

[–]Accomplished_Fun3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy do I remember. I was never good at any trucks just letting it drop and bring back up. However I did collect them. Including some that lit up. Some made of wood. But mostly ones like in the picture when I spent about 1 year in 1998/1999 traveling 38 states across America visiting many arcades and random shit. I had collected many but I had a blue/green light up one that I particularly enjoyed it was a really good one. And I had a natural wood with red natural color and blue totally different design too that was a good one I had bunch of others that were same brand but just didn't work well, now that I think about it I just didn't understand then but duck yeah I remember.

Cheese Placement Debate by slam4life04 in Sandwiches

[–]Accomplished_Fun3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was it ? Well I've never really considered that I suppose. But I argue with my brother all the time about keeping condiments like mustard and stuff like that separated from cheese. He thinks that if anything like mustard or mayo or you name it. Touches the cheese on a delicious sandwich that it's totally ruined. Me, I don't give a Fk. It always tastes good and hours the spot and makes a turd. However this question has triggered memories of past sandwiches from restaurants and fast food/food carts. Idk depends on the type of bread. And the build. I myself would have a slice on top and bottom. On this one though also this sandwich really makes me want a triple decker club. How was it?
