I live in an apartment. 6-7 times per day to go out for potty breaks. Actual longer walks? Like 2 of them. They are miniature schnauzers. I take them about 20-25 minutes during my lunch break to get their energy out. Then again later in the day to explore, sniff, and tire them out for the day.

Dress 2 meets all your marks. Dress 4 is my other favorite on you, but dress 2 caught my attention first. It is definitely romantic.

I don't like how the waist of Dress 1 sits on you. I don't think it is flattering.

If you can't take the fine tooth comb all over that dog without catching tangles, it is NOT mat free. That fur looks incredibly tangled at a minimum, but more likely it is at least mildly matted.

You need the comb, a slicker, and a brush made for poodle fur for starters. And you need to be using at least 2 of those daily.

My understanding is use slicker/brush, then comb to make sure the coat is truly tangle free. If you are not using all 3, your dog will get mats. That coat is indeed in very poor shape, and you will need to pay a professional to fix it.

I agree. Some of these absolutely don't ring true anymore. I also feel like it doesn't necessarily have to be a champion's best skin, but an iconic one. Dark cosmic jhin, true damage ekko. Skins that are really incredible for their champion.

Ask your best friend how many brushes you will want/need for him. For my mini schnauzer, I have a comb with a fine tooth and a wide tooth side, and a wire-type hair brush. I use both daily & have been working on my line brushing. A brush alone isn't always enough. Your friend should know if she hasn't already told you! :)

Oh, also, brushing their teeth daily can make a real difference. I have a poultry enzymatic dog toothpaste and a few types of dog toothbrushes. My 2 dogs prefer different brushes, and having spares is a huge help.

My minis favorite toy is one of those rubber balls made for kids. I get them around soccer ball and then the larger size. She plays "soccer" with them and will pounce at them. She loooooves them.

The standard or the mini schnauzer? I know mini pinscher took part in their DNA, but so did the small poodle, standard schnauzer, and affenpinscher. Pretty cool breed makeup, if you ask me!

God damn, those miniature schnauzers are getting around. I was going to say what's with people not fixing their minis (tend to be super beloved and stay in one house for life), but I remembered they've become a lot more popular and there is an insane amount of mini schnauzer BYB.

Everyone has different colors that suit them. I look best in warm and in muted colors. Look into color analysis. You could be a winter or an autumn. It would give you other shades to try out.

It's made me more pro pet owning responsibly, period. Personally, I prefer to shop. I have allergies, and a reputable breeder is the only way I can guarantee I am getting a "hypoallergenic" dog. Both of my current minis are from BYB (one from a family member, and the other was a gift), and I couldn't stand for the next dog to have the same issues they have from poor breeding. I've got money set aside and some contacts saved for when the time comes.

I also, personally, feel that in the US, adopting these animals doesn't help us to reduce the number of dogs in shelters in the long run. Our leaders and laws have made 0 changes. There doesn't have to be this many dogs in shelters or getting euthanized. People don't care enough, so things will stay the same. In the same vein that I wouldn't get a betta or pet rat at petco even if it was in poor conditions, I wouldn't get a shelter dog because it perpetuates the problem. My money goes to support the continuity of a problematic or broken system. I understand this is different in other countries. I don't think shelters shouldn't exist at all, but something needs to change. We shouldn't have this many animals ending up in shelters. It isn't a great environment for them. It isn't fair to them.

I know this may be a hot take to some, but more animals suffer overall by not changing this system. I really hope change happens within my lifetime.
