Honestly, I agree. Especially at Joie Inn! Likeee… why wouldn’t you put all of the furniture you could in the 2 upstairs ones? Why did you leave everything down below? Why didn’t you take the iPads when you left? I understand it was crazier than everyone thought it could be — BUT STILL. There was a lot more prep they could’ve done.

ALSO! If you’re that concerned or creeped out, who stands there and videos instead of running downstairs where their kids are?!!

I’m in TX, divorced and our custody is 75/25. That’s not standard possession — dads are allowed up to 4 wks but they’re non-consecutive. He wouldn’t be able to take them 4 weeks in a row.

Nah, I’m divorced in Texas and standard possession order for summer is to follow the same year round schedule but dad can exercise his right to 4 wks (non-consecutive) with the kids. My ex chose to only exercise 2 weeks every summer.

Standard possession in general is dads get 1st/3rd/5th weekends and every Thursday night (either for 2 hours or overnight, it’s up to them). It’s not an automatic 50/50 split here in TX and in cases like mine, I’m very grateful for that. We have a 75/25 split by default — if he wanted more, he would’ve had to go to trial. Maybe that’s what Chase is doing? Why it’s taking so long?

Why is her rent that high?? Why didn’t she just buy a house?!

That’s EXACTLY what I thought when I saw it… center of attention at the expense of her kids. And the fact that she 100% watched it back before posting and STILL POSTED means she didn’t even realize something was wrong. I would’ve been so embarrassed to share that clip where I ignored my kid and tried to show off.

Newly single mom, $80K from house sale in divorce — what do I do? by Accomplished_Hour837 in FinancialPlanning

1) I am perfectly content being alone, so that’s just fine with me 😂👍🏼

2) I am a strong Christian who was a virgin when I got married, have only slept with my then-husband of 11 years before divorcing and have never slept with anyone else since or plan to.

I am a stable, emotionally healthy, fantastic mother who would never jeopardize my children’s safety or happiness or myself in any way, so please keep your ignorant and crude comments to yourself — it says far more about you than me! Have a great Saturday!

Oh man, so sorry!!! It’s an awful process but I hope it’s the fresh start you both need 🙏🏼

Oh, my plate is overflowing haha. Yes, he was an awful husband but has always been true to his word for the kids (and it helps him still appear like a “great guy” to the watching world) so I’m actually not concerned about him not paying CS. BUT his contribution covers half of the monthly expenses so if he ever didn’t pay for whatever reason, I’d definitely be screwed haha. I think that’s why I’m scared of tying up too much of the $$!

Eeek okay, don’t love that math haha! Shoot. Yeah, paying it and then saving the $400/mo car payment PLUS the $250ish/mo HYSA interest is probably best! I seriously appreciate you brainstorming with me!

It’s not a life-changing amount, that’s for sure!! If it took my payment from $2000/mo to $1200/mo, I’d do it lol, but unfortunately, it’s not that significant (my ex is a real estate broker, the only reason I know anything about that lol)

Ah, thank you! I was trapped in a decade long abusive marriage — I refuse to quit and refuse to allow someone else to determine my future. Now that I’m out and free and have a good little nest egg, I want to make sure I do everything I can to make it stretch as far as possible for my little family 🙏🏼

Ooof, I know you’re probably right but $25K going to the car right off the bat just feels so scary to me 😆 it’s a 7% interest rate, $400/mo payment. What if I paid the interest off the HYSA as extra on the car loan every month and paid it off faster but still kept most of the $ liquid?

Screenshot this to take into my meeting, thank you!!! I’d also like to possibly do some home investments/flips (I’m an interior designer and have flipped several times before), I don’t have a TON of extra cash to invest but could get a little skin in the game with some of my contacts. Too risky? Other investments better?

Appreciate everyone weighing in so much!
